I'm not exactly sure whether this has been discussed lately but I think it would be cool to have 8 teams in the playoffs and decide it with a tournament. Extending the number to eight gives teams in a conference that was top heavy a chance, as well as teams that were injury devastated. It would be interesting to give it a try for a year at least.
sorry but no. I would never want the NFL playoffs to be watered down like the NBA and NHL. Sorry dude...dumb idea.
I just figured it would help the playoffs be less entertaining. I hate all the playoff hype. I basically hate the super bowl and only enjoy watching regular season games because of all the hype for the playoffs Maybe I'm too different to have people agree with me
I agree with MM, if they expand it you will have teams with 8-8 or 7-9 records in the playoffs maybe 6-10 and that will be a disaster, the regular season is better as it is, you have to sweat your way through it to earn a hard playoff spot and it is good this way, the playoffs are not going to change too much because instead of a bye for top teams you will probably see a 14-2 team playing against an 8-8 team so the game will suck, what I say is that this will affect the regular season because it will be easier to make the playoffs. So my point is No, thanks.
Sorry guys. I guess it wasn't worth a poll question. I'm more supporting the tournament format than the expanding. I should have made it into three different selections. I just hate that stupid bye week and it is impossible to rid the playoffs of it without minimizing the amount to 4 or upping to 8.
