The obsession/hatred with Nugent comes as a result of his draft status. We've had this conversation many times. 90% of the kickers in the leagues are 5th, 6th, 7th rounders from the draft or walk-on free agents.
I say when Tynes is healthy and comes back to the Giants, we pick up Carney (or vice-versa if they keep Carney).
Nugent has been a disappointment. I remember him at Ohio State and he was unbelievable, thought it was a fantastic job by the Jets drafting him but he has not looked like the same kicker as a Jet. That being said, he's better then Feely.
