I'm okay if we can learn from it.

Except that the problem is every time we blitz we give up big plays.

Did you hear the stats they gave going into this game, we gave up the league league in pass yards allowed on blitzes.

Fact that Revis got 2 INTs against a hot team like ARI with little to no pass rush to help him really shows what kind of player he is.

Seriously, he gets some help upfront this guy is gonna be a new Ty Law.

I didn't see Jenkins on the field to much in the second half. Seeing as he is our defense, it shouldn't be surprising that they feel apart out there. Sutton does need to be canned though...not sure what Mangini has been waiting for.

We had no pass rush? Maybe I missed the game.

No concerns from this game from me. No team has ever come back from a 34-point deficit in league history. No way were the Cardinals ever coming back in this game, especially considering they were the road team. It was only natural that the Jets were going to give up points in the second half. The game was NEVER close, people. NEVER close.
LMAO at all the Jets fan who were getting agitated today.

The second half was some bad mojo.

The Refs got the cardinals going with all their phony penalties.

The we went 3 and out. My problem with that is I notice Brett has a hard time running what I call the Chad offense. When we need 2 or 3 yards I wish our FO would either just line up in a strong formation with the fullback in the back or spead the D out and let Favre throw. The Fullback in motion, TE motiotion, Wide receiver re-set where we are trying to trick the Defense............ THROW THOSE SHITTY CHAD PLAYS OUT THE WIDOW PLEASE

Then the Defense was backing off because the previous drive the refs were going crazy with the flags.

Then we lost the onside kick and the other team has all the momentum at this point, on top of the fact that our team is a little down after the 34 point 2nd quarter.

I like the fact that when we needed stops in the 1st quarter and when the game got close in the 4th, we got them Defensively. I just hope this Coach starts to realize that we need to control these game offensively. We have the QB, we have the wideouts, we have the Tightends. MOVE THE BALL, CUT THE DOUBLE FORMATION MOTION BULL SHIT. Our offene is good enough to line up and beat teams imo.

I'm thrilled with the 'win', not with the Pass 'D'. Once again another team CANNOT run on us but with Revis and Rhodes in our defensive backfield and the upgrade in our front 7 to give up almost 500 passing yards is ridiculous, but I'll take the win.

The bye however has been proven to be a great thing for us in the past, let's see what adjustments Mangini/Sutton make to sure up the Pass D, being in Atlanta, I cannot get too many Jets games and I don't have Sunday ticket because I have ComCRASH (Comcast), but I can imagine with a 34 - 0 pt lead, we sat back in a 'prevent' style non attacking D most of the game which is ludicrous. I want our D 'lights out', which it was built to be. I am happy however our Sacks were up and Pace and Thomas look like they are BOTH going to be strong for our D.

Meanwhile, everyone is busy crying about Gholston. Pace really was a great pick up, I just worry about our pass coverage in LB department, they really have been getting gashed on the short yardage plays, especially on the blitz..

i'd feel better if the team gave up 35pts over the course of 4 qtrs. but when a team marches down a field at will, all the while under 3mins a pop. you should be worried.

espcially with the fact they they seem to be in better position for on side kicks on both of their tries. i had no confidence in the jets getting any onside kick (and for good reason). we were lucky on the second one.

Well after the Cardinals had scored their fifth straight TD (to make it 48-35) and had recovered the on-sides kick I was worried. Of course, there was a penalty to negate the on-sides recovery. However, it still doesn't change the fact that 35 points scored in one half (without the benefit of the other team creating a turnover - the Cards did have on on-sides recovery) is not the epitomy of any type of quality defense - prevent, standard, pressure, etc.

Yes the Jets won and I'm happy of course. However, after an obviously good performance in the first half the defense was saved by the excellent offensive production in the second half. I would hope that Mangini isn't happy with the densive performance in the second half.

Great teams have the killer instinct. When an opponent is on the ropes they beat them even harder. Where is that attitude with the Jets ? We should have been blitzing like a mother f* in the second half. We knew they'd be throwing the ball every time in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Giving up 400 yards passing and 3 receivers with 100+ yards is NEVER acceptable, no matter how many points we've scored.

I'd give anything to see the Jets just annihilate teams when we have the lead. Unleash the hounds and play with some aggression. Instead we've played a p*ssy prevent for 3 years! I can't stand letting other teams back into ball games. We should have wiped the floor with Arizona today.

The second half defensive play-calling was weak... I don't think you call off the dogs until the 4th quarter.

Fortunately our offense was still very productive in the second half, otherwise this place would be in shambles.

I Got a little annoyed we couldnt stop a fuckin pass but they never got closer then a 2 TD Defecit so i wasn't worried.

  17. One thing I'll say..is that for the most part, gone is the day of terrible run D.

As long as we are stopping the run and putting up points we should be ok.

Kris Jenkins is unbelievable. Most of our big plays on D / ST were a direct result of his collapsing the interior line / pocket.

  20. It's only been a handful of games..but thus far he's the best 34 NT in the league. Better than Wilfork, Hampton, and Jamal Williams.
