http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/21/AR2008092101815_pf.html Will Sutton copy? I sure hope so.
The way the chargers threw all down our throats monday the Cards will do sunday. Especially if Jenkins is out
it'll only happen if Jenkins is out... if he's in I expect a good game from our D. Revis can handle Fitz, Bold and Lowery is the question.
The Jets will win. They will be pissed off! Also, this is the second week in a row the Cards on the on the East Coast. They even stayed over this week! The Cards are not the kind of team to win a game on the road like this.
If Jenkins is in there we can penetrate through the Cards o-line easier then the chargers and force some pressure on warner. If he's out or hurt though like i said. There gonna throw down our gauntlets.
The Redskins also have a much beter secondary, springs, smoot and rodgers at the cbspots and landry, horton and doughty at safety
Beep me after the Jets win the game. Before that happens, I would chalk up the game as loss. Sutton can never come up with that kind of gameplan. On top of that, Cardinals will know one aspect of their gameplanning was exposed - and they will come up with new gameplan, which Mangini and Sutton will refuse to adjust to.
Is It Just Me? During the chargers game I noticed that all the short routes thrown by the Jets were immediately smothered and there was a guy right there to stop any forward progress. The chargers on the other hand were given 5-10 yard cushions where you see the ball caught and then someone closing in while the receiver cranks off 6 -10 yards before anyone closes in to tackle him. Is this the coverage the D-back / & backers are in or is it the players giving cushion to not let the receiver get behind them?
revis has to get most of fitzgerald in this game......lowery will get boldin with a little help from his friends. a tough task but its a very good example of what #1 type receivers can do to a defense - especially if you do not have a shut down corner. jil
Cottrell simply called a much better game that Sutton. It looked to me like Cottrell was disguising man coverage as zone and the assigned defenders closed quickly, while we ran a very obvious zone many times and Rivers picked it apart. Not only is that bad playcalling, it's also horrible coaching in practice. We have too much talent on the field and they don't seem to be learning a whole hell of a lot on the practice field and in the classroom.
