I have lost all confidence in Smith.

Coleman I kinda like for some reason...

Safety, backup NT, WR, OL, DE in the draft.

I'm sure the brilliant mind of Bob Sutton will find a solution....

Smith tripped over ESPNs blue line on that one TD.

lol, thats what my GF said. Ugh, he is terrible.

And Coleman is horrible also... he's always one step behind the WR.

They really need to get that thing off the field.

On the other hand, Barret did a good job of following the big red line for the pick 6.

Did Coleman play much yesterday? I don't remember seeing him, though I did hit the bottom of the 12 pack too.

Yeah, good thing it was there for him. How much of that shit do we need? I can see the first down thing but do we really need the blue one too? When I'm at the games I don't miss that shit at all, the chains are there for a reason.

Yeah Barret didn't do too bad... he was pretty physical also... but I don't see him lasting long, he's too old to be making safety like tackles. But we'll take what we can get :)

The whole picture is getting obscured with down-and-distance, score and time, line of scrimmage, first-down line, scores from other games, scores from other SPORTS, channel logos, stats...

The game of football is now an invitation to develop attention deficit disorder. The broadcast won?t concentrate on anything for more than a couple of seconds before whooshing in graphics, running highlights from the game you?re watching or last week?s game, playing interview clips and, of course, cutting to a commercial every time the ball stops moving.

Not to mention the constant, inane chatter from the dorks in the booth ? do they think they?re on radio? Do they think they have to fill up every second of the broadcast with unfounded opinion, banalities and ?humor??

Sometimes I dig out my old tapes from the 80s just to watch a game without any crap all over the screen... I must be getting old.

Agreed. I don't mind the little box with the score and clock, that's all they need. Ever watch ESPN News? It's a full frontal assault on the eyes.

I liked Barrett at safety early on and he is a very solid tackler if he isn't a good cover man as a corner... Coleman and Smith have both looked like garbage to me.

Sky Sports News is just as bad over here. Scrolling strips across the bottom, sidebars, the two presenters squeezed into a small section of the screen - it's as if they're saying "Oh my God! There's just so much great sport to tell you about we have to tell everything all at once!"

But then they keep telling you the same thing over and over again until you lose feeling down the left side of your body.

I've seen it, Fox Soccer carries it here. Sometimes I get everything that happened in the world except the Fiorentina score.

Couldn't agree more. What amazes me is that every team has defensive weaknesses but it seems that only the Jets cannot figure out ways to cover for these two. Hell, the Pats started Troy Brown at corner and he was not taken advantage of nearly as much as Coleman and Smith. How can two players (one a nickel back) take down our entire D??? It's incredible.

And while we're on the topic of deficiencies, how is it that the Jets make arbitrary fill in linebackers look like Pro Bowlers? You would think the O would have better success against the 3-4 Ds since they play them every day in practice but it's the same old story. Leaving guys unblocked and somehow those players make the tackles against us one on one that they haven't made all season. Only Leon can make people miss and nobody breaks tackles or makes that one tough play to keep a drive alive.

Coleman, I like as depth because he's still young and has a little bit of potential. I know everyone hates Justin Miller, but I think he could have stayed with Buster Davis on those 3rd Down conversions last night, so HOPEFULLY, that problem will be resolved when he returns.

Smith is utter crap. Unathletic, slow, tackles himself more than the opponent. But hey, he's smart and has character, so that's good enough to play for the Jets.

Are there any VT Hokie fans here? I saw Chancellor play last weekend and he looks like he has the goods. Anyone know what year he is, and what his draft projection is?
