You could say his favorite receiver is Bubba Franks...but I have no stats to prove my theory :)

Yeah, I can't think of him ever really dropping the ball either. The second one just looked awful though. Like I said, I'm sure he'll come around though.

I really like the fact that he's willing to take a chance with a receiver 1 on 1 even if they aren't wide open if he trusts them to make a play on the ball. That's something he did a lot in GB, and you see Rodgers doing now too.

It works out more often than not, and it's only a matter of time before we see him serving defenses that way.

I think ajetsfan4ever is right - his favorite WR is the one that is open.

As for Coles, it won't be long before he works out the kinks and starts producing for this offense. Everyone will forget all about any perceived whining then.

If you watch the dropped passes, they were not the laser beams everyone seems to believe.

LC has been around a long time and produced lots of big plays. I'm looking foward to seeing him break out with a big game.

The New York media always needs a story. LC didn't give them one when Chad was jettisoned to Miami. I guess payback is a bitch.

    Go get 'em LC!!!!

Thank you for the explanation, I read that completely wrong.

And I'm sure you can tell us the situation in which each incompletion and completion occurred, because you are so detail-oriented...

I really don't care who's BF's favorite targets are. Just as long as they start catching those passes that shouldn't be dropped.

You just seem so sold on the idea that one stat tells the whole story, that you were a douche yourself: "Actually, this statement could not be any more wrong." Target stats aren't the be-all-end-all of the situation, fantasy boy.

I don't see your point...this was the original statement

"it's clear that cotchery is Favre's favorite target at this point"

focus on the words FAVORITE TARGET

I simply corrected this statement with a fact, that LC has actually been targeted more than JC after 2 weeks. That is as black and white as it can get, no room for interpretation at all.

This is why I hate walking into a sports bar and seeing some nerd with his face 5 inches away from a laptop while football is up on the screen. There is plenty of room for interpretation. How many of those plays was Cotchery covered tightly or double-covered while Coles had looser coverage? If a QB favors a wideout, he will take more chances to throw to that receiver. How many times was Coles wide open when Favre threw a dump-off instead? We already know that Coles and Favre aren't really on the same page, and you neat little stat only tells part of the story, but you think it tells the entire story.

That's what I got from it, too, but I heard the comments instead of reading them. I think reading them sometimes leads to interpreting them a different way. It makes no sense that Favre throw a jump ball instead of to an open man. He throws to Coles quite a bit considering how little work they got in camp and none in pre-season. Coles drew a big PI penalty in Week 1 and Favre threw to him in the end zone on the play they just missed. Sunday he went to him quite a bit, too.
