I have to admit I was disgusted losing to the Pats like that. They won with their defense, they didn't have to let Matt Kassel win the game for them. They just had to stop Favre. The cheating bastards that they are. But now it's time to get ready for a Monday Night affair.

I know the Chargers are ticked off being 0-2 and of course the blown call that should've been a fumble. But now is the time where the Jets have to take advantage of that situation and win at Qualcomm.

    Let's go Jets.

We should be as ticked as they are for losing to the Pats right?

Let's get ready for San Diego: By purchasing high quality, high tensile strength ropes from which to hang ourselves should we lose. Or by purchasing the armload of kleenex tissues to help with all the anticipated crying that may occur should we lose.

This board is one more loss away from a complete meltdown. And San Diego is going to be one tuff, pissed off opponent. It will help if LT is out of the picture, but there are no guarantees. I'd really like to see us steal another win from them as well, but that might be wishful thinking.

^if this team plays a good game, but gets beat because the Chargers are just plain better.. i will focus on only the positives from the game... if more BS comes from the sidelines, and kickers miss FGs and goal line stands fail, there will be more bitching.

Last week every momentum builder for the Jets was set on fire.

I think there's a decent chance we surprise everyone for the sole reason of TeddyC's Bend-But-Don't-Defend philosophy. BTW, according to the Bolts board LDT had a toe injury at the end of the game, so he won't be at full-speed. Now we need to see if we can defend against what will probably be an equal share of Sproles and Tomlinson.

The kicking situation is what it is. That is what happens when you have to go to the well to get a player no one else wants. It was a sloppy game with all the penalties though. They have to tighten that aspect of the game up. I expect to see improvement from the offensive unit as they continue to play together. I was pretty happy with most of the early play from the defense. They just did not have the stamina down the stretch to defend the run when they put in a fresh Jordan.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting sick and tired of saying that after every loss going back to the beginning of the Herm regime.

At least the Chargers have Teddy C. Huge plus for the Jets.

Yeah, but unlike in past years they actually did a nice job of Run-D up front in that game (I thought). Normally our defense is getting jacked up from the first half. It's going to be harder to stop the run when your D is gassed and the other team puts in a fresh RB. I want to say it was impressive we held them to one TD and a few FG's too, but it was Matt Cassel playing QB so maybe I'm making more of the progress than there really was.

Right now this D is built to gain a lead early and defend the pass for the majority of the second half. Unfortunately, the OC is not gameplanning to help the D play to it's strengths. He's playing it safe. We'll always run out of gas in the second half at this point.
