Ok, I just stopped listening when he joked about hitting LT in the knees to take him out of the Monday night game. Very original. What a comic genius! Are we in high school? He continues to disgrace himself.
I feel bad for Boomer that he has to deal with a shock jock sports guy.. there is nothing worse in radio than that.
I honestly feel bad for Boomer myself. Carton is such a moron. I like listening to Boomer in the morning, but Carton absolutely ruins the show. His sports insight is pretty average at BEST, and he makes the most ridiculous comments about sports, and his callers. The last straw for me came about a month ago (I listened sporadically on my commute). Carton lambasted some caller for sounding "like a drunk moron". Turned out the guy was a Vietnam vet that lost both legs, one of his arms, and a peice of his jaw (which is why he spoke slow). The man also worked with a local boys club as a guest speaker type deal, and this is the thanks he got. Consequently, once Carton found out, he was dumbfounded and sounded like a bigger moron trying to apologize. I know this is a bit off topic. But, this man gotta go!
I love Carton. I've found him funny, I've called in a few times and he's been far more considerate than Fatcesa and the Angry Puppy, and they get good guests. Is he a primadonna at times? Yes, but I've still grown to listen every day, which is more than I can say during the Imus days.
Everyone on the fan sucks. Boomer is a bore, with his Goody two shoe's image Carton is "asshole of the decade" Francesa is a pompous ass Sommers has that annoying voice that makes me wanna pull my hair out Carlin is too "fake", with his radio persona Beningo lost me with his "man love", for Belicock Roberts is the only one worth anything, on that station. Which isn't saying much serious NFL radio- The only way to go-Except for Shannon Sharpe. How many times can he say, "poppa"?!!!!!
I really can't listen to that station anymore. I try, but in the afternoon drive, how many times can you rehash talking about Joba Chamberlain as a starter. Francessa just loves talking about the Yankees any chance he can.
Carton is entertaining and works well with Boomer as the straight man. He did excellent work, when he was on NJ 101.5 , as he would interview politicians and not hold back. He is very intelligent, but his on air personna is "goofy" which I think works well for a Morning Show.
I have heard him blast callers to for no reason. Guys like that just get on my nerves. You wish one of these callers would show up and just punch his arrogant face.
Agreed. This morning he was gettin' on the playboy girls. He was taking out his revenge for never getting a hot chick, in his life. One of them put him in his place. What a dick.
Wait, you can not bash Steve Somers. I've gone to bed with him every night for the past 10 years. His voice is so smooth and calming.
I like Boomer. Carton plays the jackass of the show with aplomb. Francesa seems lost without Dog the contrarian, but sometimes treats the callers as idiots. Benigno does OK for a guy who was picked from the masses and he does love the Jets and Mets and a certain clam house. Sommers has the best monologues and smoothest voice in radio and treats the callers as equals.
In all fairness how was he supposed to know that. I didnt hear it but im sure he was just trying to be funny. I think him and Boomer are a very good team.
Carton is a sexist pig. Now I can take jokes and joke around myself. Heck I listened to Howard when he was still on free radio. But some of the things he said when they first went on the air was disgusting. He is on a sports station, not Krock.
I actually like Carton EXCEPT when he does interviews. He ends up going completely off topic, pissing off whoever it is..and turns the entire ordeal into a freak show. However...he's alot more off-beat than the rest of the fan line-up w/ the exception of sommers(who i LOVE). He's also clearly a very passionate jets fan..which i like. I switched from espn to the Fan about a year ago when Dan patrick went off the air. Patrick got me through alot of tough afternoons on the unkind insurance adjuster road.
i too cannot stand cartin. carlin, carton whatever the fuck his name is francesa and the puppy both need to be put out to pasture. somers is good but his voice tends to annoy me some i enjoy beningo because he is a jets and mets fan and roots for them wholeheartedly, i also will never forget his herm tirades. i used to look forward to them every week as sperm screwed the pooch. so yeah the fan is basically a big turd at this point. and i definitely enjoyed imus a whole lot more than cartin, carlin, carton whatever the fuck his name is.
