The Pats were 16-0 last season and didn't have there starting QB - still a lot of good players on that team. Did we expect this team to go undefeated? The season is young, we have a lot of new players still gelling including a QB whose been here about a month.

Relax people, the sky is not falling quite yet.

Home opener and that is what we saw against a Brady-less Pats team?

The team you know Mangini wants to beat bad, and they come out like that?

Now we'll get a pissed off Chargers team and Rivers has been shredding defenses...Yay.

And we could very well lose next week - the season still would not be lost if we did.

name the time the Pats got punched in the mouth and didn't have the momentum after the feeley FG?

None.... the Jets showed no fight and no reason why they should be taken seriously... this was a statement game and the Jets made the wrong statement.

We sucked today. And if this is any indication of how the Jets are going to play throughout the season, then we should be VERY concerned.

The Jets almost never make a positive statement. Negative ones? Oh, they'll make those.

It was a disgusting performance. I don't want to hear any excuses about needing time to gel. They had all of training camp to do that.

Matt Cassel hadn't started a game since the 1990s. He didn't need multiple weeks to gel with his teammates.

    Shitty coaching once again, too.

    100% bang on!!

The people on this board that keep saying the "sky ISN'T falling" or we're overreacting as fans obviously DID NOT watch the game this afternoon.

The Jets needed to solidify their position in this AFC EAST race...and failed in doing so.

    No, it's totally falling.

Kidding. I don't care....but I'm still looking for 9 or 10 wins, and there is some serious improvement needed. The crappy part is that we didn't appear to get much better from last week.....if we improved at all.

Yeah I agree, it's not really bad that we lost this game, it was HOW we lost which makes it so depressing.

Iv seen this story before. Ive seen two different endings in my time as a jets fan. two games later and I'm not too concerned. There's this emphasis to be a scoring juguant and that's not reality. Now 1st. and goal on the three and failing to pound it in is something entirely different if we plan on beating the Chargers.

That was a years worth of planning by Manmoron on display. Spectacular; I have no reason not to be totally optimistic.

I know we only lost 1 game. I also know it's still a long season and there's a lot of Football to be played.

Having said that, I should also say that everyone knows that the only way to really secure a spot in the Playoffs is to go thru the Patriots. Since we still can't do that with this "new and improved" team, I have no reason to believe we will be that Wildcard team. Even then, the way to the Super Bowl is thru the Patriots. If we can't beat them in a regular season game, I can't expect us to take on them deep in the Playoffs. We will see once we play them later in the season.

So excuse me if yesterday's game had a lot more implications to me. We took on a team that was missing their Pro Bowl/HOF QB, without Asante "Pro Bowl" Samuel, and R. Gay, and an older Safety and LB core, in our house.
