So, if Favre had stayed retired, he would be a Patriot? Hmmm..that would mean he would have skipped the big Retirement party at Lambeau last night. I am sure that would have been well received by the media.

Or better yet, he would have gone last night and then un-retired today.

Why would he be kicking himself? He has the opportunity to beat the Pats. He really needs to wiped the pats jizz off his chin.

It's like he's daydreaming what the Pats should do about a QB and he puts it to pen and paper. Favre is ours, you f'ing tool. Get your own players.

And does he know that the Pats have an extra 12 million under the cap to pay him with too? It really gives meaning to that old term yellow journalism.

The most recent number I could find for the pats salary cap is $6.7M under the cap. Not enough room unless they were to release, say, tommy boy.

Peter King is little more than a charade by now. He's got the Pats' c*ck so far up his ass by now, you can see it when he opens his mouth to spew this garbage.

This sounds like a big old "Wah wah" to me.

King's going to have to find something else to slobber on now that the Pats are probably finished as a dynasty. Ain't no Steve Young waiting in the wings there to pull things out and Brady is not going to be the same QB when he gets back. No guy with a major knee ever has been.

Best way to shut him up is for the Jets to whip the Pats this weekend. I believe Favre made the right choice and this game will prove it.

King is one of the most respected writers out there right now....... how?

All he does is blow Boston teams.... how is that respectable.

Paul Zimmerman is a Jet fan, and he keeps that to himself and writes without an agenda.

King just keeps proving why he can't be liked.

As every day passes, I find myself reading Peter King's articles more and more. It's truly amazing how much of an idiot he makes himself look like day after day! How anyone takes him seriously anymore is beyond me.

This is a sensitive week, this being Jets-Pats week, with Favre leading Gang Green against the dreaded rivals to the northeast. So you won't find Favre touching this concept with a 10-foot goalpost. But my very, very strong opinion is that had Favre stayed retired, and if Brady got hurt, and if the Patriots came calling (which they most certainly would have), Favre would be in Foxboro today.
    he could count on.

And if Peter King had balls, he'd be a man.

I used to like this guy's columns. With this and bashing Jets fans a few weeks back, he's officially a douche.

I really liked his columns until 2001 and then suddenly he became a bigtime overt Pats fan and he's gradually become unreadable to me over the years since then.

It's a shame, because you can root for a team without wearing it on your sleeve and stay readable for most of the fans. Look at Dr. Z as case study one there. I'll bet you half the people who read his column don't even know he's a Jets fan. The half who do know have to read between the lines to find moments where he lets it out of the bag.
