All of these articles should read "With Brady out the Bills, Jets vie for the AFC east" More accurate and responsible reporting it would surely be.
Here's the thing about the AFC east. It's going to be the toughest division in football this year. 1) We know we're good. Nobody else does yet, but they'll learn. 2) The Bills are the real deal. They're going to be tough all season. 3) Yes, the Patriots lost their best player. But he's still just one player. They've still got one of the toughest O-lines in the league, the best wide receiver in the league, the best front three in the league, arguably the best linebacking corps in the league and Bill Belichick. And something to prove. 4) The 2008 Dolphins are not the 2007 Dolphins. We did not just win a game against the 2007 Dolphins, we won a game against a Parcells team with a quarterback most of our fans expected to lead us to a wild card berth this year. They played solid football Sunday and they're only going to get better. (Remember what people said about us when we were coming off our 4-12 season two years ago?) It would not shock me at all if the Fins finish .500 this season and the three other teams made the playoffs, (like the NFC East last year) especially after the Colts, the Bolts and the Jaguars all dropped games they shouldn't have.
After, seeing the Bills and Jets, this guy is an idiot. Bills will win it. If you say the Jets win it, then it will be the Dolphins and Jets fighting for the Division because the Jet's didnt even come close to showing they are better then Miami with Sunday's game. Disagree with me if you want, but both teams looked about the same Sunday. But like I've said 10000 times before, I am willing to root for the Jets as long as the Patsies do not win the division.
The Bills will definitely be tough this year. They looked really good against Seattle. It truly will be interesting to see how the Patriots respond to Brady's injury.
Idiot Fish fans will learn soon enough that Chad will break their hearts just like he did Jet fans. They think the int was a fluke. They don't know history.
If you go to fin heaven and read the excuses about Penny you will get flashbacks of TGG when he was here.
the only thing that made the game appear close was the Prevent Defense, a unfortunate turnover in Miami territory, and a freak injury to our kicker. its wasnt that close in terms of talent and performance.
The score dictated that we won by less than a touchdown, and if that's the criteria you judge by, then you're right, we didn't prove that we're that much better than a bad team. But, if watched the game you know that's not the case. The fins were dominated in every aspect of the game except field position. They had it all game and did virtually nothing with it. They couldn't run the ball and they couldn't stop the run. They couldn't cover our wr's either. At no point in the game when our offense was on the field did I ever get nervous. Did Chad put up passing yards in the 4th quarter against a prevent defense that was giving him the entire middle of the field? Yes. The game wasn't as close as the score and you know it. I am quite sure that if style points mattered in the NFL like in college this game would've ended 20-7. Deal with it...
Typical Jet fans. You beat the dolphins barely, congratulations, you are now instant super bowl contenders. Big Blocker, that post just shows how foolish you are, I could care less about Chad Pennington, Chad Henne is the future of this franchise, Penny was just brought in because he's 12232 times better than the other QB's we've ever had since Marino and he at least can manage games. Scikotics, be glad your kicker got injured, if that doesnt happen, you dont get a lucky 4th down touchdown now do you? Prevent defense? shows how shitty your playcalling is, not that ours was any better. Sugar coat it all you want, but 10-13 wins is what all of you unrealistic Jet fans predicted, get real please.
Pennyroyal, no need to argue with you. If all you Jet fans want to predict playoffs, please prove it. If the Dolphins are as bad as you say, why not blow them out?
Yup, the play calling was so shitty that we won the game . If the kicker doesn't get injured can we assume we make the 30 yard FG? Can we assume we make the XP instead of missing a 2pt conversion? Can we assume we make the other FG? That's 7 points right? 7=7 in my book. Can we also assume you don't get the ball past the 40 yard line every time we kick off? The Jets completely outplayed the Lphins for the majority of that game. Where is everyone saying we're superbowl bound? Typical Lphins fan coming on here and flapping his gums.
Guess dolphins aren't rusty at all either. Man are you a fuckin tart. Back to arguing with Broadway Brett, at least his points are valid.
I'll agree you did ouplay us for 3 quarters, I'm not denying that. but like your fellow Jet fan said. It's rust
