Did anyone else watch the Broncos/Raiders game? Robertson was never near the ball, according to espn.com he had 1 tackle the whole game. Looked pretty weak. However, the good news is that he was on the field for the majority of snaps, so he's off to a good start for getting 60% of the snaps required for the Jets to get a pick back from the Broncos in next year's draft....
I dont understand what "relief" jet fans get from d rob getting a "bust" label. W/ that said..unfortunately for d rob..denver is where young DT's w/ potential go to die.
I really hope he excels in Denver, not just for the pick, but also because he seems like a good guy who was just put into the wrong position.
I definitely like the cap relief we got. He didn't do anything here and chewing up alot of cap space. Without him gone we couldn't have gotten Pace, or maybe Faneca, or maybe Favre. Hope he does well though so we get a pick. How did Vilma play?
Saints MLB Jonathan Vilma recorded nine tackles (seven solo) and two QB hurries in Week 1 against the Buccaneers. Vilma could do more blitzing than he's ever done in his career for aggressive coordinator Gary Gibbs this season, and eventually those hurries will turn into sacks. He's also a legit candidate to finish in the top 10 for tackles. Sep. 7 - 10:32 pm et http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pl...news.asp?sport=NFL&id=2775&line=122319&spln=1
I definitely don't think he was worth the two #1s or even one #1, but he was solid in the 4-3 if I remember correctly.
I never liked the pick from the start. Especially after giving up 2 number 1's. My choice then was Kevin Williams, and he's still terrifying offenses. Just looking at their college games back then, Williams was better. But I supposed Herm saw something more in Robertson, potential maybe, he was the next Warren Sapp!!
He was mediocre at best. I'm not sure where everyone is getting this nostalgia from. "Can't nobody evaluate me!"
