What a sick fucking QB...LOL @ the people who didn't buy this guy coming out.

Seriously...the poise everyone's so impressed with now? He had it in college.

The fact that he didn't win enough? Any game Vandy won with him at QB was BECAUSE he was their QB.

Cutler would have been the only other guy I wanted at 4 in '06.

Anyway, he's kicking ass tonight, and I guess I'll update it weekly.

ESPN loves this guy now...it's getting annoying.

They aren't going to bother with celebrity guests in the booth this year, so that is an improvement.

As for Cutler, I saw enough last year to say he's going to be a top QB. Other younger ones that I really like are Kevin Kolb and Matt Ryan.

I'm coming away from this first half very impressed with Cutler. He seems to show a field vision and ability to make - and communicate - decisions on the fly that I don't recall seeing before.

I stress that I don't recall seeing them, which is not to say that those attributes weren't there.

On a separate note, the officiating in this game is awful.

He only had two real clunkers in 2007. He was bad in Week 13 at Oakland and in Week 16 at San Diego.
Then there was the Lions game when he came out early with an injury. Other than that, he was solid or great in the other games. He is accurate, puts tremendous zip on the ball, and is highly effective on the run.

    Kolb is a similar quarterback.

They ruin everything they touch. But to be fair, MNF was a pile of shit years before they got hold of it.

Dude, I'm not basing this off of tonight.

I'm not a "zomg this one game means everything" guy...at least when it comes to how good a player is.

The difference in announcers is so night and day. ESPN just tries way too hard with everything...especially in the booth. It's creepy how "in your face" they wanna be.

I think it's very obvious to everyone watching this performance tonight that the Raiders are going to win the Super Bowl.

    Stone cold lock.

Is your volume just low enough that you don't actually catch what they say?

Nah I kinda agree...at least theres no Tony K...

he is a good player...and far better than the other 2 qbs from that first round
the raiders are a bad bad team...while they have decent talent, they lack depth, and the FO/Owner/coaches are a complete mess
i think the big question was if cutler would get any protection from his offensive line...and if the defense could stop anyone
what i think will happen this year with denver is that cutler becomes a top qb...but that the o-line has holes, the running game suffers, and the defense struggles to stop the run...
they definitely have made the effort to find players cutler likes...Marshall, Scheffler, and now Royal all have shown a great chemistry with cutler....
the problem is on the defense and the other 4 o-line positions other than clady
