You guys have listened to all of us converts from GB rave about Favre and have been really good sports about it, so I am curious if you liked what you saw as a QB? I know we won and that helps but just the play at QB is it what you expected?

Myself, I was really impressed with the D of this team, much better than I hoped for and better than GB's last year early in the season.

I like what I saw, being that he has not been around that long. It can only get better as he gets more comfortable.

He was good, I was completely confident he would be, but he'll need to get better. I didn't like the red-zone fumble.

I now get it. I get why you guys followed him here, why he is apart of your life, why you love this QB so much. Its been years since so much extreme excitement has been at the QB position. Favre the first football player I knew off the top of my head when I was a kid, and now he's a Jet. This is amazing.

And I said there was no chance the Jets had a shot at him.

I think Brett did pretty well today. It was nice seeing some long throws for once. Don't forget that the team is still learning him and he the team. Plus I'm sure they are going where no Jets play book has gone before.

Man...I just consider myself a lucky Jets fan to watch a guy like this play for this team...Lucky. If Favre has the heart to play, this guy can play another 2 or 3 seasons after this...He's built to play this game!

On a side note...I love what Favre did today for this Jets team but you know what? If not for Favre, Thomas Jones would have NEVER rushed for over 100 yards! Just the fact that Favre can stretch the field will be keeping the opposing D's honest all year. Favre does SO MUCH for this run game, it's not even funny.

I texted my friend did you see that bomb that Brett threw. She called me and said her husband said that is what qb's are supposed to do. You were too used to Chad.

The way I see it, you have to take the bad with the good.

Favre takes chances.... Instead of folding when the pocket collapses, he runs around and tries to make a play...

Sometimes you get plays like the TD to Stuckey, and other times you get plays like the fumble...

Personally, I'd much prefer a QB who plays the way Brett does, than one who is riddled with conservatism, and is scared to make a mistake.

We only scored 20 points today, but it was the most entertaining offense I've seen in a few years, because you couldn't predict what was going to happen when the QB went back to pass

I liked Jones a lot, what a good suprise he was. I heard the announcer say on the busted play that Favre was "looking for somebody to block" and I cringe every time he does that shit.

By the way, you will see bombs like that every game.

It felt to me like the passing offense was out of rhythm the entire game. Favre was sharpe throwing the ball but he is getting by on pure talent. The only player he looks comfortable with is Cotchery. I expect the passing game to improve each week but it may take til midseason until they really click. That said we should be able to win games while they improve.

Beamen I understand all that, I've seen Farve play before and I agree, he's a gunslinger. My point was that you have to be aware of what's behind you inside the Red Zone. Those turnovers cost points and games. That was a big mistake I would not like to see repeated too often. And I'm sure he will adjust, first game and all. Imagine how much everybody would be talking about that play if we had lost.

He's really humble, team first, no BS and does a great job of moving around in the pocket. I have to pinch myself cause this stuff usually doesn't happen to my team. We are going up against the Pats and we have the better QB for the 1st time in many years. The place is gonna rock and we have a QB that makes plays!!!

I cant wait until he gets comfortable with the play book and him and Coles find a rhythm. I think the offensive line needs some more time to gel as well. Once all of these pieces come together it will be truly exciting football with many more amazing moments per game than the two we saw today.

Well considering he may not know the playbook as well as he did in Green Bay yet, I think he was very good. The TD Pass to Jericho had me going crazy.
