They don't waste time.. Cassel didn't look bad today though- and I promptly picked him up in fantasy...
heard that too...Simms is a good QB. This could work for them Cassel is trash, but Kansas City is even worse...so itll be interesting week
Yeah...I would rather have Ray Lucas than Chris Simms. Put it this way, if not for his father Phil Simms...This kid would have never made it...Thats all I'm saying, he's nothing more than a player who made it because of his name
For anyone saying "simms is a good qb" - keep in mind he has zero familiarity with the patriots system. he probably wouldn't even be ready to play for a month.
You guys are insane – I’ve lived in Tampa the entire time Chris Simms stole the Bucs money. He sucks monkey nuts…once I was flying back from Newark to TPA and I get on the plane and see Simms sitting in first class – I said “Hey…Simms what the hell are you doing in Jersey – trying to get into Rutgers?” He said “Ha – good one”. Then I thought about how stupid what I said really was. Like he could ever make the team at Rutgers???
Besides all of the difficulties of coming in during the season and learning the system, don't forget the Simms is lefthanded, which changes all of the natural tendencies in playcalling. All of a sudden Nick Kaczur, the RT who loves oxycontin, becomes much more important.
Simms was in Tampa for 5 yrs and couldn't grasp the offense, what will he do in a week? Whenever you saw highlights it was always Chuckie yelling at him
Who else would be available. That is a free agent or that would come at minimal cost? -Culpepper? -Leftwich?
Culpepper retired. Leftwich is solid in Pittsburgh. Not sure who's left out there that might make a difference in NE...
Culpeper is retired but I can imagine the 'he's going to unretire to link up with Moss again' stories running off the presses should the Brady injury be season ending
He should take his father with him, he hates the Jets and doesn't try and hide it, I wanted to punch the tv about 50 times yesterday...
