People are treating this season like it's us against the patriots. Instead, we should look at it as us vs. the other 31 teams. If we get a win against the Pats without Brady, who cares? It will still go down as a win for us and a loss for them and the Pats fans can say whatever they want but it won't matter. I'd never root for injury for somebody but I can't help hope that he is out for a while because it gives us such a better chance to win.
don't say thathmy:a lot of us probably said the same thing when we knew Brady was coming in for Bledsoe
I don't wish any player injury but I'm not exactly gonna cry in my bowl of cereal if he is injured and out for the year. Any Jets fan that says they would rather face the Pats with Brady is crazy, the division is wide open now, I want the Jets to win it. Karma is a bitch!
From the Pats board, speaking of the same story (the PFT news) They sure are upset over a rumour on an independent site http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=117476
Beating this franchise has been a big hump to get over since '02. Of course 1 week at a time. Of course we're up against all 31 teams, but it's Division first. No wildcard. ats_suck:
Per PFT: Though there?s no official word on the status of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, several members of the team the Pats play next think he has a torn ACL. ?Everybody I talked to said it?s a torn ACL,? an unnaned Jets player told Tom Curran of NBCSports.com. ?Players AND coaches. When we came in here that?s what people were saying, ?Brady?s got a torn ACL.?? Said coach Bill Belichick after Sunday?s 17-10 win over the Chiefs: ?I don?t have any update on Tom. They?re looking at him, doing some tests on him. I don?t have any information yet. Not that anybody would be interested in that.? If it?s a torn ACL, Brady likely will miss the rest of the season. In 1995, Steelers cornerback Rod Woodson suffered a torn ACL and returned to play in the Super Bowl. http://www.ehealthmd.com/library/acl...CL_whatis.html
I'm not going to lie, I'd get no better joy from seeing Brady crying in the grass as we pound his ass into the ground. However, if he's out, this does give us a better chance to win next week. There's no doubt in my mind though that even if Brady's out we've got a lot more to prove out there than they do. Taking next week any more lightly would be a huge mistake; they're still a ridiculously talented team.
THAT is some UGLY writing on the Pats board. It is just ONE game at a time....JETS did GREAT today, and they will win next week.
There is a reason that the JETS win came up 1st on my homepage, out of all of the NFL teams today. The JETS looked like a much stronger team today, than the Pats did. GO JETS!!!!
Check this out. Now Brett Favre says Brady has something with the ACL http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/patriots/
You think NE fans cared about the Jets? You think the Patriots cared about winning the SB all those years when they were winning the SB, while the JEts were banged up? It's to the point where NE fans use to get a kick outta calling Pennington "Noodle arm" If we beat the Patriots next Sunday, with or without Brady...The better team won, the JEts would be 2-0 in the AFC East...And thats final
thank you TB Jets....and Vince Wilfat felt real bad when he knocked as many QBs out as he can-if there's any karma attached to this, look there
Let's not jump the gun on anything here. Most likely he hasn't even had an MRI yet, because they usually wait at least 24 hours to let the swelling go down. He wasn't carted of the field either, so it might not be as bad as people fear. But if he is out for the season, the division is wide open. This patriots fan I know was trying to tell me I was an asshole for wishing an injury on someone. Sorry, you'll have to excuse me for not feeling a sliver of sympathy for the patriots fan base, who have been blessed with great sports for the past 7-8 years, or Mr. Brady who lives a dream life.
If it is a torn ACL, he is out for the season. I had a torn MCL, it hurts like crazy when you try to walk, and it takes a long time to heal. I am sure that they did an initial MRI within the 1st 5 minutes, just to get a baseline injury report.
I'm hoping Brady is 100% okay and ready to play next Sunday. I feel bad for his injury and expect a full recovery. In fact, I want him in top form, so when we kick his ass this time, Pats fans know it was kicked real good by us. I don't want him carted off after some insignificant Chiefs game in which they barely squeak out a victory. I want him carted off after Jenkins gets his arms around him and Harris sends him to the refrigerated section of the county morgue. This jerkoff represents an on-field version of Bill Belichick to me. He needs to be layed out. As far as his fans go, there's something in the water up there, I swear to God.
Yeh that and being a multi-millionaire, being arguably the greatest player of his generation which during a time in which his sport was by far the most popular in the United States.... but yeh, besides that pretty pedestrian. PS, your a lady correct?
It's not Brady against the Jets...Its the NE Patriots against the NY Jets...Who cares if he's injured...Patriot fans cant make any excuses because if the Jets win the game, it's simple...The better team won. And maybe...Just maybe. if Brady is out for 6+ weeks...Maybe, just maybe...These tough guy NE fans will know how it feels to be a Jets fan. Once again, it's the Jets vs the Patriots, not Brady vs the Jets! If the Patriots cant overcome losing a QB like Brady, well then guess what? They dont deserve to win...You think BB and the Patriots were feeling bad when they knew what plays the Jets were running? Payback is a mug!
