From what I have observed it seems obvious that Leinart wants to come to New York. If the Jets decide that drafting him would be their best move but CANNOT find a way to move up, can anybody see Leinart pulling an ELI and not going to whatever team selects him. Just a thought. Comments?

Leinart has voiced his desire to play in New York, but I would be stunned if he held out from New Orleans or Tennessee. He's already said that he would be fine playing with the Saints even after the Hurricane, and his old OC Norm Chow runs the offense with the Titans.

That is true, I didn't think of Norm Chow with the Titans.

Big Difference between ELI and Matt... is that Matt does no have a father who was up his ass telling him what to do . Archie had some experience with playing for a crap franchise in New Orleans. He did not want his son go through what he did.

Eli will never be a Top 5, or even Top 10 QB. He wasn't horrible in college, but you could easily see that he got his status coming out because of his name and his family's ties/pull within the league.

He will probably just develop into a solid, yet unspectacular pro quarterback. He has a better deep ball than Peyton though, and is slightly more athletic.

Eli has a better arm and can probably handle pressure better than Peyton. I think Eli will probably develop into a better big-game guy than Peyton, but I don't think he will ever put up great stats. Of course, that isn't really saying much, my dog is a better big game player than Peyton Manning.

I have been saying it all along that I believe Eli will be BETTER than Peyton. He has the skills, and the tools are there for him to be successful with the Giants.

The biggest difference between Matt and Eli is that the Giants were blatant in their love for Eli. The Jets don't appear dead-set on grabbing Matt.

I would be flat out angry if this situation plays out like that one did. I don't want the Jets hand forced by any player. I don't care if the next coming of Barry Sanders comes out saying he will only play for the Jets. Our staff decides who they want, not the other way around.

I don't want him anyway. I've already detailed my opinions on the QB situation a few times, so I won't repeat them here.

Dude, I'll take the next coming of Barry Sanders -- and he can say whatever the hell he wants. In fact, I would quit my job and be his major domo if he wanted.

    No it Wouldn't

It was a faggy ass Move by The Mannings
and Would still be a Bitch move.

Players are drafted the way it falls and should Not be in a position to dictate it.

  17. I have a hunch that he ends up w/ us one way or another

Please don't make this statement. Eli was a pretty damn good QB at Ole Miss. The problems they had there were in no way related to his shortcomings.

The OL at Ole Miss was garbage and Eli was constantly scrambling...

I hope that doesn't happen. At this point in time I don't care who we get. We need so much help. So assuming we don't find a way to botch up the draft we should, at #4, get a guy who will almost immediately contribute. Hopefully for years to come. However, if Matt did that all it would do is keep that door open for player after player dictating the team that drafts them and do we honestly think that this team is one that guys are going to beat a path to on draft days in the future?
