Just listening to Joe Theisman on a local sports show and he said that Miami will beat the jets on Sunday. Said Favre will throw 4 picks in the first 2 games and expects the Jets to start the year 1-3 o 0-4. Keep it coming!!!! I can't wait to prove everyone wrong:finssuck:
That surprises me because Theisman used to be pretty good to Brett and I see the Jets offense being far superior to the offense the Packers had last year. 1. Jets Offensive line is much better. Not even close. 2. Coles is almost the same player as Driver 3. Cotchery is a better deep threat than Jennings. 4. Franks was GB's #1 TE last year and he is the Jets #3 TE. 5. I would personally take Jones/Washington over Grant/Jackson **Brett made Ryan Grant last year. The Packers didn't run the ball a lick the first 8 weeks so they were forced to throw the ball 50 times a game. The fact that Brett was so incredibly good forced teams to put more guys in the secondary allowing the RB (whoever it was) a great chance to run. It just so happened that Grant took over about the same time team's realized their best chance to beat the Packers was to try to take away the pass.
It seems to be the "in" thing to go against the Jets this year because they made all teh FA headlines.
I don't see our offense as being far superior to Green Bay's at all. If anything I find them eerily similar talent wise. I'll be happy as hell if I'm proven wrong about that, in a good way, though. I would take Grant over Jones at this point. Thomas has not been looking great this preseason. I would not be shocked at all if Leon is starting early on this coming year. Theisman is just another Idiot talking out of his arse on this one. Brett is learning a new system, but so is Chad down in Miami. I think we should stomp them Sunday.

You would think that Jet fans would understand by now that the off-season dreams are not football reality once the season starts. No matter how you cut it the Jets are going to be 1-3 in the first 4 games.
Hey it could happen... we could start out in the dog house. If we start the season 1-3 he'll (Theismann) look like a genius. I'm looking forward to the season because I think we can really shake things up this year, but I've been wrong before. I'll be happy if we just crush the Dolphins.

To say there is absolutely no way the Jets can beat both Miami and Arizona to go 2-2 is sheer ignorance. You can predict they go 1-3. That's fine. To say no matter how you cut it is just showing stupidity.
You do realize you aren't even close to right on this? It is 442 TD to 228 INT. If you've watched Brett's career, you will see that probably 70-80% of his interceptions come when the team is trailing. Often times trailing late. And often times trailing big. He tries to force the issue to take the same chances that have also led to 30+ career 4th quarter comebacks. The ones that don't end in wins, usually end in Interceptions. He doesnt like to take dump downs check downs and punt when the team is down 10 with 3 minutes to play. Not his style. In 2005 when he threw 29 INT's. 24 of them was when the team was trailing (due to a horrendous defense and no running game). Of those 24. 15 were when they were already trailing by double digits. Remember, they lost 12 games that year, but 9 of them were by less than a touchdown. It wasn't because of Samkon Gado, Taco Wallace, and Andrae Thurman that they were able to keep that many games close.
You seem to take issue w/ Jet fans having optimism. What the hell is wrong w/ a long suffering, tortured fan base having some HOPE for the season due to some exciting offseason moves?
