Belichek the washed-up recycling system couldn't recycle this pile of garbage. Why would you want him?

Parcells will probably sign him anyway.

Hobson was slow coming out of Michigan and slower in the NFL.

He made a nice play once against the Dolphins in his rookie year and I thought he was going to be good. I was wrong.

If Hobson were to be brought back, it would be for one reason only - get info on NE. I don't think it will happen, plus, I can't think of any LB on the current roster who I'd be willing to part with in order to get him back.

  7. I knew the overreaction on here about that was bullshit. Mangini is all about mixing and matching Lb positioning in order to master depth in case of injury and for scheme. I'm sure he saw PLENTY of Hobson at ILB...and w/ the woes we had at LB before Harris, he wouldve made the move a long time ago.

Sometimes Jets fans just get too attached to certain players. Then again..if you're a top 10 pick and arent a star within 6 weeks of your rookie season...you're a bust for the rest of your career.

The only way I would want Hobson back is if they stuck a metal poll in his back and hired him as a human tackling sled, then he would be useful for something.

Not that there is any room for him, but if there was, and they brought back Hobson, it may be the thing that finally causes me to have a nervous breakdown.

Not to mention it would make him more mobile while maintaining the same ability to shed blockers.

Cue Pats fans back-pedalling their announcements that Hobson and Lynch would be Jet-killers.

Hobson was slow, Hobson could not shed blockers, Hobson was an average LB at best.

So I'd have to say pass on him and Lynch for that matter and I can't believe they picked up Bender on the PS. The kid gave up 3 sacks to 2nd and 3rd team defenders, what would he do against solid starters?

    GET BEAT, that's what.

A lot of these signings by the Patriots are just to say we can. Posciack was a solid signing for them though

Hobson however was a garbage signing and I'm sure they are grabbing these guys to siphon information from them.

But you can call me paranoid.

I SOOOOO Agree with this assessment, it's to the point of being ridiculously cynical and borderline PARANOID.

I'd HATE to work for some of the JETS fans, they'd expect PERFECTION the 1st week out or be fired.

    SMDH.

LBs are expected to make the occasional tackle, after all.
