Yes, 6 PM and it looks like the Jets will take all of it. As will Tampa Bay and a few other teams famous for waiting for the deadline to submit their lists.

I think Baltimore and Minnesota might be waiting on what happens with Simms. Maybe even a few other teams.

I heard Mangini will be having a Press Conference at 6. Anyone know if this can be viewed anywhere on TV? Or will it be only shown exclusively on the Jets official website?

As I said before I hope the team keeps Clemens. But Clemens contract status is an important part of this prospective deal.

Clemens will be in the last year of his contract in 2009. Without all that much to go on the Jets would probably have to give him a pretty decent raise. And I think the FO would rather go with Ratliff and Ainge since both guys are first year players (contract wise). It gives the team more time to evaluate them.

If the team could move Clemens for another player or draft pick, it would get rid of a potential log-jam at QB and give the Jets the most flexibility in choosing their future QB. That's probably the smart long term plan (even if it leaves the team a little short handed at backup QB this season).

10 minutes to go and not a single thing has leaked yet. Just some so-far unfounded rumors. Amazing the NY media is so inept.

i don't care about experience at back up if they're playing whether it's k.c. b.r. or e.a. the team is done and since most of us believe b.r. is a better prospect then k.c. i say take what ever we can get for him.then if b.r. has to play this year we'll know if he's it or not and if he's not we pray tebow leaves school early

Additionally the Ravens waived 19 players: TEs Adam Bergen and Keith Heinrich, QB Casey Bramlet, defensive linemen Darrell Campbell and Lorenzo Williams, WRs Patrick Carter, Justin Harper, Matt Willis and Ernie Wheelwright, G Adrien Clarke.

Something should be coming down the pike real soon...

I mean one QB has to go here guys-if we expose Ainge to the PS he'll be scooped up in a day-we will have forfieted a draft pick-Clemens has to be the odd man out. Ratliff has been outplaying him all summer

Does anybody remember this is who the Vikings initially wanted in the draft ? Then we took him so they settled for Jackson ? I'd assume childress never lost his desrire to have Clemens as his starting qb.. If we got Chester Taylor I'd scream for joy.
