Oh no! I thought I was going to be away for the USC/Virginia game when it was released and could go on dreaming about being presented with a humane and fan-friendly set of alternatives. That dream will undoubtedly come to a screeching halt at 12:01 p.m.
I'm already anticipating the $$$ to be more than the Giants are charging. Just call it a hunch. If it's less, then I'll definitely be happy If it's more, like substantially more, then the next thing I do is call the Jets ticket office and remove myself from the waiting list.
There are only 10,500 on the wait list. I wonder how many of those will be left after today's announcement is filtered down.
My seats based on the NYGs formula are 5Gs per seat so you can call the NYJs up & take mine over as my son & I certainly will not be paying that to Woody. We will opt for the 1G seats if Woody actually makes any of them available like the NYGs did
From Eric Boland Blog Oh, and the Jets press conference announcing the specifics of their PSL plan is today at 12:30 p.m. at the Meadowlands. Newsday's Bob Glauber is there
I have my name in the Waiting List, but, I gotta be honest, just got me a Plasma, and watching these games on HD, in the comfort of my own home has been more than satisfactory.
I should be near the top of the waiting list, having deferred seats offered to me this year. I'm thinking I'll buy seats next year, but if the PSLs look ridiculous, I'll just stick with the deal I have now (buy seats from existing ticket holder). I like my view and his seats, so why get my own if the PSLs will kill me the following year. We'll see, though. I'd love to keep going. Maybe I'll hit the lottery or maybe Woody will be kind to we long-suffering Jets fans
The plan includes no Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs) on all 27,000 seats in the upper bowl, an auction that will give every fan the opportunity to bid on membership in the Coaches Club for access to the 2,000 best seats in the house, and the option for all PSL owners to finance their purchase over five years. Of the remaining seats, those in the lower bowl and the mezzanine will have PSLs varying in price from $4,000 to $20,000, and those seats in the East and West Clubs and the Great Hall Club will have PSLs ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.
