I belong to several different message boards and this is the first one where I have had to have x amount of posts to be able to view certain areas of the board. I'm not trying to be mean, but what is the reason for that?? Is it because they want to be sure you are serious about being a contributing member of the forum???? Just curious -- and 7 more to go
We want to be sure that new people come here to talk about the New York Jets, not to sell their tickets, promote a website, etc. So, one can't start a new thread before they have a certain number of posts, can't view the ticket board before they have a certain number of posts, and so on. Those who try to reach the required number by posting mindless one-liners (spamming) get banned. People also are not allowed to register with a free web-based email account, such as yahoo or hotmail. This is to make it harder for banned users to return to the board under a new name.
