This could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. There are 7 receivers vying for rosters spots (at least 7 who could make the team). Coles, Cotchery, Stuckey, Smith, Wright, Clowney and Henry.

I don't think they can keep 7, and I don't see a guy like Henry making it to the PS without being claimed. Smith and Wright are both great on ST. So who do you keep? With one guy on IR, it solves the problem, maybe you can keep 6 WRs on the opening day roster?

to be honest, i'm more excited about the upside of marcus henry than i have been that of clowney.

by the way, keeping 6 recievers could be difficult unless we come off our plan to carry 5 RBs (Jones, Washington, Chatman, Richardson, Smith) and 4 TEs (Baker, Keller, Franks, and Dearth, the LS).

he will go on the PUP list likely....if he is put on IR right away - the injury is likely more serious than what has been described.

clavicle is a tough injury....go ask the lions receiver wtf is his name - rogers??...alot depends where in the bone the injury occurs, or is it near a joint.

the bone will not heal stronger than its original state - no bone does. at best it will approach 90-100% strength as time goes on, ususally after 9-12 months.

Ah, hate the news, really, really hate the news. He was having such a great camp, too. At least Marcus Henry knows he may still have a job this season.

i think we can carry 6 because you have to plan on Coles and/or Stuckey going down at some point.

They will IR him, and then he'll be back and hopefully pick up where he left off last year.

Its not an injury to his legs - thats the positive news.

PUP him and readdress during the season. Maybe we'll need another receiver then.

Thats a good point. IMO we need to lean up both the RB and the TE situations.

I don't think Musa Smith is going to make the cut. And it wouldn't shock me if Baker is soemhow unloaded before the final rosters are revealed.

If my memory serves me right Keshawn had a broken collar bone with us and he was back playing in 6-8 weeks. Do you guys recall that or was I dreaming?

I like Henry too, he adds some height to our receiving core something we badly need. I am hoping he makes the team.

When i turned on the game late yesterday, I noticed Henry right away -- who is the big receiver. clowney is a much different type of receiver.

Clowney will be out for several weeks with the collarbone. I saw it on the NFL Network ticker.

I'll try to find a link.

I broke my clavicle (collarbone) in high school. Took about 6 - 8 weeks to heal on its own without any real treatment (doctor gave me a loose fitting brace which didn't really help).

Hopefully the Jet trainers can help get him back on the field soon.
