Favre is really focused on the crumbling of the American Century. He's all caught up in geopolitical strategy and world economies and can't focus on the playbook. Mangini actually called Putin to call off the invasion because it is preoccupying his quarterbacks mind during games.

He looked especially depressed when he led an unstoppable drive capped off with a TD pass.

    ...

He actually looked relaxed to me, and he looked like he belonged in the Green and White!

    Brett looked fine.

The team actually played better this week on both offense and defense (that's the 1's I'm concerned with, not the scrubs), than they did last week.

Nothing to be concerned about...except maybe Clowney.

Can I ask why this kind of stuff really is considered worthy of being analyzed?

In the post-game press conference he specifically addressed that, saying as he's gotten older, he gets less interested in what going on during preseason games unless he's playing. I didn't notice him particularly unhappy, but I'd assume that'd be why.

:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: That was good. He could be trying to figure out a way to capitalize on the invasion of Russia on Georgia.

I saw Bill Belichick look pretty damn grumpy on the sidelines this preseason. He's clearly not ready either.

Really? The QB sneak on 3rd or 4th and less than 1 is one of the highest percentage plays in the NFL and the Jets have had a lot of success laswith it in recent times. (The only \guy I can remember fucking it up is Kellen Clemens and that was last week when he tried to rush to the line and catch the defense off-gaurd, even though they were ready, and to top it off, it was AT LEAST a full yard to go - Not to mention it was a preseason game). To me, when you have less than a yard to go, you should almost never hand it 3-5 yards deeps in the backfield to a back. The only reason for not running a QB sneak in that situation is if you don't want to risk injuring your QB in a meaningless preseason game. (Which is exactly why the Jets handed it off to Jones)

I think you should focus on our lack of running game and outside containment against the run. Favre was great, looks happy and is clearly the most professional player we have on our team and the most talented and the least thing that any of us should be worried about.

He looked a-okay on the sideline. He did yawn one of those black hole galaxy sucking yawns around 945pm. I thought he was gonna lose his shit laughing when Clemens kept falling down

Jesus Christ! Does the negativity end with you EVER? Are you that intent on being miserable you're analyzing facial expressions that he didn't even make?

We must have watched different games. Every time they showed him I saw him either discussing things w/ a teammate or laughing w/ a teammate.
