I was in the foot locker in paramus park over the weekend. They had the green favre jerseys for 80 bucks. What they also had were "semi authentic" jerseys (coles, pennington, L washington) for 100 bucks in green and white. These were esentially the same as the 80 dollar ones, but they have the sewn on numbers. This is the first time I've seen these. I am going to hold out until they come out with this one. I bought a cotchery jersey (titans) last year from the jets site, and almost half of the number has come off. This was also after retunring the first one that was damaged.

I've seen the semi-authentic ones, I like those, you can't really tell the difference between those and hardcore authentic jerseys. I was gonna wait to get a favre one like that, but I didn't think I could hold out that long.

I gotta grab one. I have a feeling it will take awhile before they make their way onto store shelves in Canada.

Yes. I'm pretty sure I saw some at Jets training camp- not sure though.

I've seen them around, I've been in enough Sporting Goods stores.

I bought a Brett Favre Titans jersey.

I love the Jets but hate wearing anything green...go figure.

I bought one from NFL Shop early last week and it was still... "awaiting inventory". So I cancelled that order and went to newyorkjets.com. They claimed it was "in stock", so being the sucker that I am, I ordered one. Hope it arrives soon. I'll be p***** if it shows up in December.

I don't find it funny at all. The only reason they signed the dude was to sell a million of these things and rake in the cash. This was a business move, plain and simple. A mediocre team signing a QB who is at the end of his rope is typical of this organization. Just like when the Rangers signed Gretzky.

The ONLY REASON... one of the reasons, I'll give you that.

Here are some of the other reasons:
Favre was a huge upgrade over Pennington.
Favre is not at the end of his rope. Look at his stats last year, one of the top 5 QBs in the league (got votes for MVP). It's unfair to generalize and put Favre in the same bucket as other QB greats that were underperforming at the end. Why, because he hasn't underperformed yet! Granted, he could fall off in the next few years, but if the Jets just get one good year out of him, then it's worth it. They're not pushing a QB in the waiting aside, because there are not star QBs in the waiting. The Jets aren't in a situation like the Packers (Aaron Rodgers), or Cardinals (Matt Leinert) where they got a top draft pick with 2-3 years under his belt waiting in the wings. Ratliff is at least 2 years off before he's developed.

Money was a factor, but not the only factor. Favre simply gives the team a better chance to win more games in 08 than Pennington and Clemens combined... and they aren't stunting the future growth of this team with this move. If anything, they're filling the void. Next year we can draft a top QB and get him ready for the 2010-2011 season. Until then, this is the best option.

Got my Favre Jersey at the Sports Authority in Paramus, NJ along Rte 4 where Ikea is across from the Garden State Plaza. Rte 4 West or Rte 17 South entrances. They have them in Green, White & the NY Titans Blue & Gold. Worth every penny & no I didn't mean Pennington.

Thw day they changed their ways was the day they signed Faneca. This was just a continuation of that change.

White is pretty much all you can find in NJ until after labor day I am told. The exception I found is Kohls where they have green for $55

I would scoop them while you can.

Kohls doesn't carry any real NFL jerseys, those are all fake replicas.
