    Gardner and Ransom were brought up.

    dude, I wouldnt mind getting a couple swings in down at triple A. I can just see 10penn writing about this "kid aia hsdnt heard of before but really has some wheels'.

    This is the first step in sending Melky in a package somewhere. I guess they figure he may still have some trade value, unlike Sexon.

    Still wouldn't do that deal. Our payroll would have benn over 250 mil. PLus Hughes actually got his velocity back up.

    I'd take Sexson on my team. He's a decent backup, he can still hit lefties, and he doesn't really cost anything.

    I don't really know why the Yankees dumped him. They have a better option?

    btw, it seems Sexson was actually DFAd, not waived as first reported.

    He came up as an OF so maybe he can be plugged in as a corner OF occasionally. I doubt they look at him though as he is a cancer which the Mets would want no part of.
