It seems like Favre might be devloping some chemistry with Stuckey; having him emerge as a slot reciever in the mold of James Jones would turn this offense from "above average" to "top notch."

I don't know. Old QB, arm not feeling good, one 18-yard pass, one 10-yard completion, bunch of dump offs and screens. Sounds pretty dang familiar to me.

You are going to be SO excited when Favre throws his first INT as a Jet, aren't you? You want him to fail so bad. Why not go root for the Dolphags?

QB's get arm fatigue in the preseason and cut back on their passes, it happens.

Just because I'm not blinded by his mere presence like you doesn't mean I want him to fail. I'm just a lot more realistic about what you can expect from a 39-year old former very good QB.

No offense, but you seem to be a little blinded, a "old former good QB" does not put up the stats and wins that Brett did last year. I can see it being "realistic" that the "chemistry" will take some time however. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS !!!

The guy is old for a starting QB...everyone knows it. But how did he do last year? Why is he suddenly going to trip over his shoelaces on every snap? Definetely sounds like something a future hall of famer would do. Also the guy's 38...not 39 for another 2 months so we should probably get that right.

No your not. Your being a negitave whiner and its not supprising. You have been against any trade for him since it was mentioned. You were against Favre before he got here and am just continuing that stance so you can say " I told you so" later.

Favre knows his limitations and is doing the right thing. Getting quality reps every day is better than getting a high ammount of reps at less than the optimal level, but your would not know something like this would you? Why do pitchers get a limited pitch count? The same thing goes for a QB who's throwing more reps a day right now then he will in any game this upcomming season.

Keep pretending your unbiased. Your post history shows otherwise.

You miss the whole point, which is, Favre is not getting quality reps. From what I've read he's looking no better than Pennington or Clemens since he got here, he doesn't know the playbook and now his reps have been cut back. Go read what the original article says. If Chad had been the QB they were discussing instead of Favre everyone would be bitching about him checking down and throwing short all the time. But since it's Brett Favre all's okay with the world. If you look closely you'll see I'm not the one with the double standard. Let's see Favre actually do something good before he's annointed as the Jets saviour. Right now he looks like an old run down QB with a tired arm.

Long time jet fan: You seem negative: That's OK, you haven't seen him week in week out, he is 39 y/o but he is not like any other 39 you ever met. Been watching him every week since rookie year. Two weeks after Magic man went down we all knew we had us a QB.

The guy is just a good ole country boy who likes to play, by opening day he'll be firing on all 12 cylinders.

When it gets cold, if you want to make him feel at home wear some camoflage to the game; whatever you wear in the duck blind or deer stand should do fine. LOL.

So what's your opinion on both Brady and Peyton Manning limiting their throws as well this year? I guess it's ok for them.

Those QBs have been with their respective teams for years, know the playbook, and know the players. Which of those statements can be made about Favre and the Jets?

What good is having him throw 1000 passes a day if it's just going to kill his arm? Seriously, just from the little I've read about your comments, it sounds like you WANT Favre to fail just so you can say "I told you so".

I didn't want Favre because I didn't want to sacrifice the long-term for short-term success. Whenever anyone asks me about the trade, I say I didn't want him at first, but it doesn't matter since he's a Jet now. And I'll cheer for him to succeed as loudly as I do any other QB that's played for this team now that he's a member of it.

You just seem like you want him to fail so you can throw it back in others' faces.

Cheer the team, not the player.

Also, I read one report that said he threw 20 passes in 11 on 11's in yesterday's morning practice, but 16 in the evening session when it was toned down. Yeah, those 4 fewer passes will make loads of difference
