Hopefully their 1st pick will be a DE at the end of the 2nd round ;)

no cuz hes saying that the first rounder will already be green bays because if the jets make the playoffs .. green bay gets the first round pick .. and then our first pick will be at the end of the 2nd round ..

Correction...if GB takes our 1st rounder, it means we made the Super Bowl. And if our pick is truly at the end of the 2nd round, it means we won

Well I think we have a 1,2,3, and we just gave a 4 away, however that will change. This is my guess.

Even tho Vilma is a little hurt right now (i think), he will probably play the majority if not all of the season and the saints look great on paper so i think he'll re-sign.

We will have our 1st almost certainly.

We will probably give up a 2nd tho to the Packers.

However we will receive a 2nd from the Saints.

    We keep our 3rd.

    Hopefully we get a 4th for D-Rob.

    So 1, 2(N.O.), 3, 4, 4(Den)

Let's not kid ourselves with the 4th round idea. The very lowest pick that we could give is a 3rd rounder. Favre will play well over 50% of the snaps. If we make the playoffs, that means, in all likelihood, that our pick is between #20 and #28, in the second round. And if we make the SuperBowl, we give up either #31 or #32 in the first round.

So here are our last 5 selections made around those slots: who among them would you not trade for Favre?

    3rd round picks before #20:
Anthony Schlegel (fine, #21, but he sucks)-2006
    Sione Pouha (again, #22)-2005
    Derrick Strait (#10)-2004
    BJ Askew (#20)-2003
    Chris Baker (#22)-2002

2nd round picks between #20 and #32: FOR IF WE MAKE THE PLAYOFFS
    Justin Miller (#24)-2005
    Victor Hobson (#20)-2003
    Jon McGraw (#24)-2002
    Randy Thomas (#27)-1999
    Dorian Boose (#23)-1998

1st round picks at #27 and later (only because we've never picked 31st or 32nd): FOR IF WE MAKE THE SUPERBOWL
    Dustin Keller (#28)-2008
    Nick Mangold (#29)-2006
    Anthony Becht (#27)-2000
    Rob Moore (#26 last 1st round pick)-1990

All I'm saying is that if we get two, hell, even one servicable seasons out of Brett Favre, considering our awful drafting history, is more than worth the compensation.
