it was 7:30 am and i was sleeping, all of a sudden my wife jumps on my back and whispers in my ear; "guess who is a jet?" i said; "your mom?" she said; 'Farve" i fell out of bed and ran to my PC.....all day i was laughing at my 8 fish fan co-workers...lol... priceless........
i just came back home baked with a friend from pineapple express at around 1 and i turn on espn and see breaking news: brett favre traded to new york jets and i was goin nuts the whole nite and suddenly became stoked for this upcoming season
unplugged my phone from the charger at 6:30am and saw a text message and though who the hell sent me a text after midnight on a wednesday? Read the text from the Jets and had to change my underwear.
I passed out last in the 8th inning of the Yankee game. I usually wake up at 6:45 every morning to get ready for work. My dad woke me up at 6:00 by throwing the Daily News at me. When I saw it, I jumped out of my bed like something was crawling on me. Needless to say, I didn't mind waking up 45 minutes earlier. I then went to check my phone, a friend of mine called me twice and left me a text saying what happened. If I stayed up to find out right away, I probably would have been on TGG all night (well, morning if you want to get technical).
At 12:48 am, I received a text message from GOGREEN (a service you can sign up for at newyorkjets.com). I was fast asleep because I had a couple sleepless nights. Once I read the message, it woke me right up. Watched TV for a few hours and logged in to this site. I couldn't believe how many people were here at 1 am! That made three sleepless nights in a row. I'm going to sleep like a rock tonight.
I was about to fall asleep last night after a movie... and I just switched it to ESPN quick to get an update on Baseball scores. Honestly, I knew he was going somewhere, and I was hoping Jets over Bucs. Got my wish.
OK, I'll play. I was playing College Hoops 2K8 (legacy, playing as Duke vs. Virginia. And no, I'm not a Duke fan, but don't hate them, either). I turned back to ESPN to see what might be on after I finished playing. I figured I'd catch the Yankees highlights again. And then I saw "Brett Favre traded to the New York Jets." I was rendered speechless outside of saying, "Oh shit. They actually did it." I didn't think they'd do it and I wasn't the biggest fan of the deal. I do think the Jets will be contenders in the playoffs, but I still don't think they're a Super Bowl team. And I'm worried about not having a long-term guy at QB. But since he's here now.....Go Brett! Go Jets!

laying in bed watching the office/falling asleep when bro in law txt me from cleveland saying favre is a jet....jumped up and got on here to find out for sure.
my friend told me, he woke up around 730 am and was on the subway heading to work when apparently a jets fan who also was going to work saw someone reading one of the papers, and saw that the jets got favre.. He started howling and yelling all kinds of stuff, even gave high fives to randomg people and then got off the next stop and said he was calling in sick hahah
I woke up at 3am after leaving my radio on and just raised my arms while laying down in bed hearing the news
Lol, this is a great thread. I'm so glad y'all have our Brett. It's almost shocking to see him so appreciated after how he was treated by the 3 stooges. Me, I was watching TV, and got a call from a friend. "Favre was just traded to the Jets!" No way! I couldn't believe it! I'm a mod at bringbrettfavreback.com, so it was an even harsher blow than you'd imagine - we'd lost our fight. I woke up in the morning wanting to SMACK someone, but as the day wore on, and I saw Brett in a Jets hat at the airport, smiling like he hadn't in too long, and being treated with so much honor and respect by your organization and fans, I started warming to the idea of being a full on Jets fan. I can no longer support GB after the lack of integrity and decency (not to mention intellect), they have displayed, and that's tough coming from a 2nd generation Packers fan. But if it's just about foam cheese and a color scheme, then it's not about much anyway. The 3 stooges have disgraced and marred the name of the Packers for a long time to come I fear. I was actually seeing Pineapple Express, which was hilarious by the way. Some kid in the audience screamed out, "Jets got Brett Favre!" My stepbro texted my stepdad and it was confirmed. Craziness.
