Well, I'm back from Denver to find a team that has lost 5 of 6 with its closer on the DL. Life is wonderful. On the positive side, I went to a game at Coors Field on Monday. The Rockies and Nats both suck, but it's a reall nice ballpark. I expect that Citi Field will have a very similar feel to it, and who knows? Maybe we'll be able to get tickets if the Mets are crappy.
This was my last trip ever to Shea Stadium. It's a shame it had to be so dull, quiet, and unsatisfying.
Well one run by Kunz and one run by David Wright Funny how after Manuel came in both guns blazing about resting players he's backed off that in the crunch of the race.
Mets get two hits and don't score. Padres take one swing and score. Just shoot me. Tatis is apparently now hurt.
didn't know the game was early with all the Favre hoopla. maybe the excitement of the trade can make me forget about baseball season entirely so I don't have to endure this mess.
the mets really are unbelievably pathetic. this is the problem with baseball, the mets and their fans have to watch them play out this charade like they have a chance of doing anything for 50 more games.
