    Definitely thread worthy.

    It's not like he had a game tying RBI in the 9th against Oakland.

    I apologize, I acted quickly and with anger. However, he is mostly terrible.


    8th Inning: 2 men on, 0 Outs, he ruined the flow with a terrible strike out.
    9th Inning: Man on Second Down 1, 2 Outs, strikes out again TERRIBLY.

    He looked horrible as he usually does.

    He only hit a meaningless solo home run when we were down by 2. He's so overrated.

    Who would overrate Betemit?

    He is consistently on and off, if that makes any sense.

    i say we trade him back for scott proctor...if torre hasnt blown his arm out yet. and even then i would rather have him than betemit.

    Betemit is a serviceable utility player...why there is so much hate for him, ill never know. He had a good game yesterday ( 2 for 3, HR ) and made a nice defensive play at 1st...

    I can't speak for anyone but myself, but here's my problem with him. You're absolutely correct that he's a "serviceable utility player". So why does he start so often? If he were being put in late in games after a pinch situation it wouldn't be a huge deal. When he's starting over ARod or Giambi though, it gets a bit hard to watch, especially when he gets that puzzled look on his face as he watches strike 3 go over the middle of the plate, or a ball get past him.

    Yesterday is understandable, given Cano's hand. That's what a utility player is meant for.

    Giambi sucks lately, I dont mind Betemit ( a good bat as of late ) starting over Giambi (couldnt hit a beach ball with a tennis racket)

    People just need to complain about something, I guess. If anything, Betemit should play more, as he's shown in the past he's a good hitter with regular playing time.

    I'd also rather he just become a left-handed hitter. He's starting caliber from that side, but he's terrible hitting right.
