giving out 2 free passes doesn't help. Nor does the fact that the other team's #9 hitter hasn't had to even swing the bat yet. 4 walks to willits, 7 overall. that's hideous

This looks like a game between two subpar high school teams, awful in every aspect.

Thats why A-Rod gets criticized so much. Big moment and he hits into a (potential) double play. Unacceptable when you are paid $30 million a year.

Luckily the Angels are playing terrible and his hit did not matter.

We need at least 5 more for me to feel comfortable in this game.

Tigers up 3-1 over the Rays, they bring in Farnsworth.

Farnsworth gives up a solo HR and a 2-run HR, and now the Rays lead 4-3.

    He's still hurting us.

Just saying that is where the criticism is fueled. I am not one of them, I like A-Rod and think he is a great player. Not okay for anyone to do that.

Chone figgins has to be the first guy in a long time to go 4-5 with 3 runs scored and yet still be the game LVP

Too many emotional swings...Down 5-0. Then chop it to 1. Then a 4-run 7th capped off with a Nady homer to make it 8-5. Then Tiex blasts a grand-slam and took the air out of everybody off the dominant Ramirez...Then that crazy 8th.

Geez...Way to salvage the split considering the matchups were bad for the Yanks.

Dude with a 5-0 lead and Lackey on the mound, even you thought the Yanks were dead.

Happy to see them come from behind in this fashion, twice.

    Good call.

This series made a much bigger statement for the Yankees then it ever could have for LA. They probably should have won 3 of them and that with their two worst pitchers going.
