Can't blame Manuel for that. That is Beltran's lunacy, as Gary noted.

Although I guess the manager could tell Beltran that he is fined $100,000 every time he bunts with men on base without an order to do so.

i don't understand why gary acts like "oh well that's just beltran" when he does that shit. obviously the bench can call for sac bunts so why doesn't someone just tell beltran not to do that?

Thanks for the updates. I'm psyched to be going tomorrow. Might even make it back to work on time. What are the pitching matchups?

    Ollie really dealing - 0 BBs, 9 Ks, 3 hits, 67 pitches through 5.

Would really like to see the Mets get some more runs here.

my pick for home run beat the streak at mlb.com (goal is to pick a guy who hits a home run, obviously, and you try to get to like 8 games in a row) is Nick Evans.

I thought he wouldn't play. Guys who don't get an AB don't count against the streak, and I have one going.

utley and burrell retired with a runner on 2nd. One more.

That double by Bruntlett was the first extra base hit by the Phillies off Ollie this season.

hope for no wild pitches against howard
