Packers Say Vikings Tampered With Favre msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8351554/Sourceackers-say-Vikings-tampered-with-Favre?CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=5 Looks like the Brett Favre soap opera has just released another installment. Apparently the Packers front office is going on the offensive and has filed tampering charges against the Vikings. This should be interesting to see how Goodell responds. He took action earlier this season against the 49ers for tampering with the Bear's Lance Briggs. I can't imagine Favre saying anything that would help the Packers front office at this point, and the Vikings coach isn't going to just give himself up. On the other hand Goodell has said that all he needs is the preponderance of guilt in order to impose penalties, so the Vikings may end up losing a draft pick.
Way to go Favre, you have really started a mess here. Enjoy your time on the Packers bench, I don't think you are going anywhere.
I think he winds up traded somewhere else. This is a pre-emptive move on the Packers part to prevent him from complaining when he is traded out of the NFC and to a team he is not thrilled to be going too. I guess Miami does have it's benefits though. If the Packers really want to screw him they'll trade him to us.
Seau and Favre should weep again, er, AGAIN, and then clink glasses together. It takes one to know one!
The story is that the Vikings tampered with Favre, yet people are shitting on Favre again. Wow. This is a rule that a TEAM allegedly broke, not Favre.
I don't. To the best of my knowledge a player cannot get in trouble for contacting someone on another team. I could be wrong though. The accusation is against the Vikings though, not Favre.
Responsibility still lies with the team. Not Favre. The team should know better about discussing signings/trades/contracts with players who are still under contract with other teams.
He called his friend. Is his friend supposed to hang up and be like sorry I can't talk to you? Maybe he should but you and I both know that 99% of people would not do that.
Tomlinson says in his opinion Favre was forced to retire. And like other people, he has the right to change his mind, and he has taken it... Right on LT.
Favre's role in this whole deal even starting was that back in March, the team approached him to ask him to comeback, he decided to retire. They cannot wait every year till after mini camps to hear from Favre. They began getting Rodgers ready, planning the offense around him, and wham! Here comes Favre again.
