Which contradicts what you just said. We were rebuilding, by year three we better get some results. Especially when this regime set the bar high by making the playoffs in year one. I'm still not sure I want Ty Law though. Anybody his age with his own penalty named after him scares me.
I am very skeptical about Ty Law and his legs of today. He's not nearly even the same guy who was already pretty sluggish out in space with Herm Edwards. Yeah he got a lot of interceptions but how game changing were they, really? Hardly a shut-down corner, more like a lucky-lucky guy in the right place at a time when it mattered pretty little in the outcome of the game. Perhaps Law would be a good safety if he could tackle better. However, his mobility must be turning to stone these days. Savvy guy could maybe coach some folks, in spite of his attitude, but play...? Maybe too late in the day.
Do you think our retooling has now put us in the same class as the Pats, Chargers, Jaguars, Colts and Steelers? If not we are rebuilding.
The dolphins have been rebuilding for 7 years, raiders for 5, chiefs for 2, rams were heavily injured so they could return to what they were, Ravens went 13-3 in 06- all it will take is health and decent QB play. Ravens, and anyone in the NFC West can make the playoffs. Your second sentence I don't understand.
What else do those teams have in common? With the Jets? They all sucked last season. When one or more of those teams makes the playoffs this season, are you going to then tell me they weren't rebuilding?
I never said we shouldn't be competing during the process, but to deny that the process itself is happening is ludicrous. BTW, I take a pass on Law as well. I have seen his mentoring skillz in action previously, to the tune of him being separated in the classroom from Miller during Camp Herm.
I'm not denying it's taking place, or took place, but at what point in today's NFL are you done rebuilding? It's a year to year league, the days of the Walt Michaels five year program are over.
he's slow, old, doesn't have the best attitude, and a shitty work-ethic. i wouldn't give this guy 10 pesos...let alone 2.5 million. PASS!
its called parity, and if you play your cards right you can compete for 5 years, and not take 5 years to rebuild, and abyzmul does have a point, this is a part of that rebuilding 'prosess' but we are not ' starting over' from the beginning, its year 3, its time to be a good solid football team for the next 3,4,5, years
I'm not talking about bringing him in as a clear #2 guy. I could see him being brought in instead as a guy to start maybe 2-5 games at the start of the season, while Miller's playing time is gradually increased, until he is ready to start. Ty Law is/was as cerebral a CB as you're going to find, and if you can get him to be a team player, he could really teach our young CBs a lot.
Wasnt it Ty Law who the organization didnt want sitting near to the rookies or have a locker near them because his attititude was so bad? I dont think our coaching staff is going to bring him back. Especially for a high price
this is the only reason why i hate the keller pick..we should have takin a cb at that spot..but i wouldnt mind ty law as the # 2 or if justin miller can step in i would be happy with that too
Ty Law is a friggn 98 overall in madden! wit 96 speed..just put him on ur new jet team..see how good they do with him...hes awesome!
