while you're at it why not see if we can get LT from san diego so he can solve our rb problem. I mean we can give your team the 4 and you can turn that into your new rb or better yet draft mario so he can play along side merriman. what do you think sd fan?
there is no reason why we wouldn't want lewis-- he is a starter on any team he goes to... the problem is that it would make no sense for us (compensation and salary wise) and no sense for him (end his career on a rebuilding team)
It's been talked about here in SD but that's an afterthought...but we love this guy to death and he should be staying in SD for the rest of his career. time is running out because he's been in the league for 5 years now. Plus for your #4 alone just isn't worth it. Maybe a boatload of picks would do though! We got some young up and coming LB in Shaun Philipps that's just an awesome pass rushing LB. BTW, there's a ILB we have who was awesome in Ohio State when AJ Hawk and Bobby Carpenter were essentially waterboys at the time. His name is Matt Wilhelm. He's an unrestricted Free Agent and has a contract tendered to him where if someone were to offer him a contract, we would at least get a 4th round pick for him. Somebody to consider if you want Vilma a bum rushing ILB. Now that's a trade I'm willing to do!
Who? You're Donkies??? Well with the chop blocking Linemen on your team...I wouldn't be surprised with your taunting there Donkey fan:shit: .
Ray Lewis? The guy is a complete contradiction the the parameters that Mangini is using for the selection of players... this shouldn't even be a discussion.
Lewis is only upset because the Ravens don't want to renegotiate his contract and give him yet another boatload of money for a guy coming off a serious injury and whose career is definitely on the backside of the hill. Besides--as others have mentioned, there are certainly character issues (helping out a buddy who just murdered someone isn't exactly a dui) and Lewis himself complained that he isn't the same player in a 3/4 as he is in the 4/3 he's played in for most of his career. Once exposed in a 3/4, teams quickly found out that they didn't have to fear Lewis chasing their guys down. Instead they just ran straight at him and buried him play after play. There's no way he fits into the Jets plans.
