I think Mike Francesa is the only person on the planet who for some reason thinks Arroyo is a decent pitcher.
Didn't one of the Yankee pitchers recently like last year or the year before have a double digit earned run line in under 1 inning? Could have sworn they did.
"Ya know Brohnson Ahhroyo knows the AL Eeest, he knows what it takes to pitch in this divishun. The Yankees should look to acquire him around the dheadline."
The best part about this is that Baker left him in that long. It's like he was trying to fulfill all the preconceived notions about himself, so he the crappy first inning wasn't enough; he let him give up 3 more runs (1 more after he left) before he took him out.
ESPN indicated it was the first time since 1900. So you either had a typo there or received different info. The worst start I remember was Mike Oquist against the Yankees. 5 innings 14 runs 16 hits 4 HR 3 BB The worst start in a meaningful game was clearly One Third Glavine.
He's got a career ERA + of 107, he's no ace but despite his overall poor season thus far and this horror show he could still be a solid 4th or 5th starter to eat some innings.
not true, he didn't get an out in the 2nd or else it would of been 2/3 or 1/3 of an inning rather than 1+ innings.
