I guess I should have chosen my words more wisely. I'm not calling it a scam in the sense that it's not legitimate, it just seems slimy that they're going to sell advertising rights to 4 separate entrances. Soon they'll be selling name rights to sections and parking lot zones. 17a tailgater will soon be known as Windex Parking Zone Tailgater, and he will be sitting in the Pep Boys Section.
They could offer to double you life insurance policy for season ticket holders if the Jets win the SB before you die.
Just to back up 17a, 1050 did state that the stadium was going to be Met Life Stadium so its their error not his.
That could happen. With dollar amounts that high it's easier to get a bunch of parital sponsors than to find one huge one to cover everything. Plus that way if you lose one you're not holding the entire bag, you have others. I work with advertising, much smaller scale than this but the principle is the same.
ok can we get some confirmation, most say its for an entrance someone else just said its for an entrance and the stadium..... so it could be MLS well now wouldnt that just be fun for the pansies playing soccer there in the spring.
What did they pay for that entrance ,Iwas estimating they would get ,30 million a yr. for the main stadium naming rites $900 million over 30 years,5 million for each of the 4 entrances like the one MET LIFE just brought another 20 million per year X 30 years would be 600 million more thats 1.5 billion raised so far and another 10 million per year X 30 more years 300 million more puts us at the 1.8 billion total it will cost to build the stadium, this does not include the 300 million from the NFL ,the 200 lux. boxes, the tv cash ,the 5 million a year rent from Xanadu , so why bang the avg. joe fan who got the NFL WHERE IT IS TODAY
The Red Bulls won't be playing there. They are building a soccer stadium in Harrison to seat about 20,000.
Here is the $1.8 billion question I would like answered why ISN`T there just say a $50 PSL tax added to every ticket for every event going on there instead of just football fans paying for it ,soccer fans won`t have to pay psl`s music fans ,college football fans & so on ,where 1 fair tax on each ticket would be fair across the board to all
