This offense is terrible. Not bad, not underplaying, it's fucking terrible. Yeah, the pitching is piss poor, but for fuck's sake, this lineup couldn't hit a basketball with a paddle.

The pen is sad, but it would be this bad with or without Joba. Giese is a pile of shit with long legs. Veras, Hawkins, both piles of shit. I'm not going to get down on Ramirez since he's been good until the past couple appearances, but another showing like this and he's in the doghouse too.

Joba's pitch count was artificially inflated by terrible umpiring behind the plate (though in fairness he squeezed Halladay a lot too), and some terrible defense.

I'm sickened by this team. While the Rays and Sox battle for first, we're not even in a game with the Jays. I'm really disgruntled enough right now that I'm starting to think we might lose the division by double-digits.

BTW: This is a bad team. Yes, a bad team. Terrible lineup, full of holes. Terrible defense. Decent rotation. Shit pen. It's a bad team, and I don't blame Cashman, I don't blame Girardi. I blame these multimillion dollar piles of steaming stinking dog shit.

 

I said in the Twins thread that if Joba didn't go 7 on a 1-hitter this would be the result. You really shouldn't let this surprise you.
