8.5 wins I want to try one of these before TC, after TC, and before the season. 9 wins and over put us in the thick of the playoff race. 8 and under and it's another wait til next year. Right now, we still don't have a starting QB, a second CB, or a 3rd WR. Chris Baker hasn't reported to camp, and Vernon Gholston doesn't have a contract. But we do have a ridiculously easy schedule, and we're much improved both in the trenches and at the skill positions. Without knowing who our QB is, the question remains: Over/Under 8.5 Wins?
over/under I see 10 wins. The schedule is not that strong, and this bunch will be hungry from last year, with many holes plugged
I say 8-8 but it could go higher depending on QB play and the Defense gaining familiarity with all the new additions
Definitely, 8.5 wins. Win .5 comes when we play the Patriots, lose badly, and then Tom Brady meets his maker in a horrible car accident after the game.
I'm going to say 9. We still have a way to go before being perennial contenders and have a lot of questions, but are aided by a relatively easy schedule.
I honestly feel the cheatriots will have a poor season. Which should open things up for us -- it's just a feeling though.
We have made plenty good quality upgrades to take us to the promise land. Mark my words, WE WILL BE IN THE PLAYOFF'S!!
8.5 because we will lose the to pats but award each of us half a win when they find out the patriots were video taping our signals... just kidding that would never happen.
even if brady goes down early - due to a testaverde-like 99 injury, the pats have enough talent to still win 10-11 games...... the question is do the jets have enough talent to win 10-11 games with everyone HEALTHY..... until the QB spot is secured by someone who can be just as effective as a pre-shoulder injury pennington, my answer is no. IMO - clemens can be that guy but we will not see that until the earliest latter half of 08 and into 09. anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7 and we will be able to lean one way or the other after the 3rd preseason game. jil
This team is grealy improved over the 2006 playoff team and will build off that, not the 2007 fluke season. 12-13 wins.
As a Jets fan for the last 30 years I have found that "offseason optimism" is one of the few perks we are allowed. Look at it this way, if you predict 9 wins or more and the team tanks are you gonna be any more/less unhappy? So, F*&^ It...Jets go 10-6 and make the playoffs...hazzzaaaa.
I'm amazed that 8.5 is running strong this race. I mean, since nobody here has money riding on the result, why would we have a fence-sitting option?
