As I sit here in my office with Leroy Nieman's Joe Willie on my front wall and,
a signed photo of Joe slinging the ball at Shea on the wall behind me,
I recall the karmic cherry on the happiest day of my life when I realized that my new daughter just happened to arrive on earth the same day as my favorite ballplayer.

Happy Birthday, Isabel, Happy Birthday Joe.

What question was that? I thought it was more like a statement. The Jets have never won anything of value in 39 years. The organization lives under a pall. They'll never win another Super Bowl. We should all just shoot ourselves and be done with it. Is that about right?

Well yes you now replied to the question that we have been losers for the last 39 years as you mentioned which means we have done nothing good during those years. As for taking your life for the NYJs well that is way to drastic for my tastes but if you think that is what has to be done then all I can say is go for it. In fact IMHO taking your own life for any reasons is really quite silly

I'm not arguing that. Never did. But if it gets to the point - and in your case it has - that negativity is the only way of life with this team, then you'll never be able to enjoy anything positive when it DOES happen. You know, kinda like I'll never win the lottery and die in the poorhouse. Er...

Trust me when they win the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP I will be as happy as all other NYJ fans & maybe even more so since I remember the glow of WINNING it all & how wonderful the feelings are about the win. To win you have to have dominating players on both sides of the ball & IMHO Barton, Barrett, Coleman, Brick, Thomas just to name a few do not qualify. They are all 2nd tier or lower players. Hopefully before season starts they will all be upgraded which will then maybe give us that SB shot

Speak for yourself. Some of us have done incredibly good things. There was even this geezer once who learned how to follow and meticulously chart Jonathan Vilma's tackles each game, or at least those he watched, in order to show how far downfield the tackles averaged.

    Funny.

    Thanks for kind words, Jetophile.

I think we're headed for the promised land...maybe not this year but within a year or two. I've been critical of Mangini because of the way he's changed his stripes last year, but overall, he seems to have the makings of a longterm coach.

The team is moving in the right direction, but obviously it's going to take a double digit win enema to blow the negativity out of champ69's backside and maybe my own.

Ha picking on the wrong poster again since I was NOT the charter of JV stats. However just watching the games & you could see how far D/field JV was before the tackle was made. I guess the CS also got tired of it because they ship him to the Saints right?

Wait a minute. There was a time when you were saying you had proof all his tackles were four yards downfield, and this proved we were all dolts for thinking the guy was any good, when you maintained he was a typical overrated Jet stiff. We asked you to post the data and you couldn't because you just kept a shorthand tally on a spreadsheet, really wasn't that difficult, blah, blah, blah.
