Who said the Jets were going to be 12-4 last year? Certainly not the majority of our fans... some were optimistic but many knew a tough schedule was upon us. I think we're years away from being a perennial contender, but being blessed with an easy schedule and with a good defense that can keep us in games, I think we'll be in the hunt for a wild card position.
I don't understand how some of you guys that are predicting 9-7 also predict a wild card berth, I don't see how anything worse than 10-6 gets into the AFC playoffs this year. Most of these predictions have been realistic though, good work.

carolina? I would check your carolina prediction, with Delhomme coming off an elbow operation and no backup QB you have to watch him. 11-5? I would say about 9-7. Plus they lost a key defensive player at Dan Morgan.
Dan Morgan made a whopping 2 assisted tackles for Carolina in 2006. He lost everything after the concussions. Jon Beason and Thomas Davis are both very fast and very good Cover 2 linebackers. Beason moved inside to fill Morgan's spot, and Landon Johnson was signed this off-season to play outside. Carolina's safeties are the big problem. Chris Harris played well last season, but he's weak in coverage and Nate Salley takes over Mike Minter's spot and he has no starting experience. The right side of their offensive line is very, very weak and Delhomme is most likely going to get killed...again. Otah should help out replacing one of those two starters, but he will go through growing pains early. The Panthers' success depends on Jonathan Stewart, DeAngelo Williams, Steve Smith, and whoever is getting the ball to Steve Smith. I see them going 6-10 or 10-6. It could go either way. NFC: I think Minnesota and Dallas will be the teams to beat...if they stay healthy. I can also see the Cardinals FINALLY winning their division over the Seahawks. AFC: Same shit, different day - New England, Indianapolis, San Diego, Jacksonville, and Pittsburgh should all return the playoffs. I pray that the Jets will be good enough to be a wild card team in '08.
Terrence Holt or 3rd round draft pick Charles Godfrey will probably win the starting free safety job.
jets HAd a betTER rEcorD thAn ThE raideRs MORON!!!!!! Oh and now you can type without the caps button? You know less about the raiders than you do about the JETS, and clearly you knowledge of the jets is lacking! you sir, are an idiot!
well I guess math was never your strong subject. Jets 4-12. Raiders 4-12. The fact is Jets and Dolphins were two of the worst teams all year. Until Jets decided to win a meaniless game in December. Raider fans thank you for Mcfadden.
Thank you for being the only other person to do the rankings However you didn't include Seattle in the playoffs portion. Fix that man.
Hey raiderblow you are right, and I was wrong about the records, but lets be real you dont know SHIT! Read your old posts, so when you thank jet fans for McFadden lets try and remember wheen you said " no way the raiders take mcfadden, its dorsey or long, besides they wouldnt take mcfadden cause they would have too much money on one position" how did that work out genius? so stop acting like you have a clue!
