Can only keep 2 QB Tony Romo RB Marion Barber III RB Willis McGahee RB Jamal Lewis WR Marques Colston WR Reggie Wayne WR Torry Holt Yes, this was my Championship winning team last year. Basic scoring. I can only keep 2 players. I have no first round draft pick and don't pick until the last pick in the 2nd round. So, who should I keep?
I would keep Romo and Wayne. Running backs value has gone down as the 2-back systems have become more and more popular and the rules continue to favor the passing game. Last year the receivers and QB's were more important than RB's in every one of my leagues.
Technically it depends on your scoring system. Are TDs worth a lot more than yds (Romo and Barber)? If yds are counted then probably McGahee and Wayne? So, whats the scoring system like?
Yeah, but McGahee is one of the few true Workhorse-backs left, and Baltimore will probably be a Run first team. And i still don?t trust Romo with aging WRs and O-Line, I?m not sure if he can put up the same numbers again. And the difference between a QB he can draft in the 2nd or 3rd (maybe a Rivers, McNabb or Bulger) to Romo should be smaller than the difference of WR or RB. I?d definitly keep Hold, Wayne, Barber and Colston over him.
He said basic scorin so i guess: Rushing-TD+Receiving-TD 6 pt, Passing-TD 4pt, 1pt per 10-yards rushing+receiving, 1pt per 25 yards passing. -2pt per INT.
Ray Rice isn't going to take anything from Willis McGahee. In fantasy, it's always good to have as many solid running backs as you can...so I'd keep Barber and McGahee. They'll both be getting goal line carries, and they should both be getting around 20-25 carries a game. The Cowboys didn't just give Barber all of that cash to give him the ball sparingly...he'll be extremely productive in that offense if he stays healthy. You can never go wrong with the best receiver on Peyton Manning's team though...Reggie Wayne will put up huge numbers, as usual. You will probably be able to re-draft Lewis later in the draft because of his age, so he's not worth keeping.
I'd keep Wayne and Barber. Barber will see red zone carries and Wayne has proven he can post numbers with or without Harrison on the other side. Yeah, McGahee is a workhorse, but didn't they lose Jonathan Ogden to retirement? I'm not sure how that line will hold up since they didn't get a tackle til the 4th and who they have in their depth chart to replace him.
Almost exactly what we have except 6pts per TD passing Thanks guys for all the great responses. I know it's still early but I had thought of Romo and McGahee but lately I'm leaning towards Barber and McGahee. Wayne is also such a stud and literally him and Romo carried me to the championship last year. I drafted Romo in the 6th round so hopefully I can find another late round stud. Never too early to start thinking about who you would keep. Btw - I cannot believe I never even thought about the goaline carries Barber and McGahee will have. I'm such a dumbass...That should almost make it a no-brainer! hmy:
^agreed except for the fact that Wayne is now a legitimate 2nd round pick. If think the Ravens are going to sputter this year, then I'd go Barber/Wayne. McGahee was a horse last year, but rarely put up elite numbers. You pick the guy that you think will put up the most points for you on a weekly basis.
tough choice...i would keep romo and wayne i've never had a problem picking rbs...if most players are hoarding the rbs though i'd go romo barber
Agreed. Barber will share time. QBs are dime-a-dozen. Holt is falling off. Jamal Lewis already fell off. And Colston is not a top 10 WR.
