if we can get this guy for our last day 1 pick or even a 4th, we gotta. Then we have a starting center and options with the 29th pick. If mcneil falls to 29, that would be a blessing or if he's gone, then how bout taking carpenter or a good lb?

I have been saying this all along. I wouldn't mind even giving up Bryan Thomas and our 1st 4th or even our third rounder. This guy is more pollished than Mangold because he has been in the league for 3-4 years, and he is a prefect fit for our zone blocking system, he's very qucik and smart. He would cost less than Mangold and i feel he is just as good if not better. If we could pick him up we could than draft Maroney at 29 and Winston or Scott at 35.

if we pick up faine which it is possible do we have to do anything with our 4th overall pick. Because my main thing is trading down to detroit and picking up their 9th and 40th overall pick.

which then I'd like Mario at 4, Watson at 29, and Lawson with our 2nd rounder...that would fill ALL our defensive needs. Then, as a recent mock draft shows, O'Callaghan in the 3rd, that would be perfect as well. Then maybe a receiver, another LB, or OL depth with the rest of our picks.

I agree but TEAGUE from Buffalo might be even better. All we have to do is sign him!

I would like to acquire Faine for a 4th rounder. Whoever we draft with that 4th round pick probably wont be a starter, at least not right away. Faine is proven. Then we can use the 29th pick for another need and we wont have to worry about Mangold. In the end Mangold would probably cost more because he would be a 1st round pick.

if Faine is so proven and good - then why are they only asking for a 4th round pick for a former 1st round pick... and who says we're going to use a zone-blocking scheme - we have no idea what Schottenheimer is going to do for our offense, he's a first time OC.

The Chargers ran a zone-blocking system (i'm almost positive) so i feel he will run this system. Face it our line now has the players to run a zone blocking system with the addition of just a few players. It seems like the most obvious system to run, like everything about the season it is impossible to tell what we will do next year but i have a strong feeling that we will run this.

The reason i feel he is being traded for so little is beacuse the Browns run a power running game like the steelers. Faine is not a power player but he is a good player. He is basically useless on the Browns as of right now, and they want to trade him when he still has trade value, he also has an injury problem.
