One more time - the defensive player(s) the jets pick in the early rounds will have to be capable of playing and understanding multiple systems. If they see a very good player in the draft who is a classic 3-4 player, but may have trouble adapting both physically and/or mentally to other defensive schemes the Jets will pass.

4th round for Jeff Faine? Are you stupid? Maybe if we're get Peyton Manning and plan on throwing the ball 700 times next year. He's merely a pass protecting center. NO.

A 4th rnder for a starter is better than a 4th rnder. comeon how many 4th rnders actually start in year one. But are the jets looking at Faine? probably not, they should be looking at this option though

we had a 4th rounder start from last years draft...and a 5th the year before...especially considering the #2-4 centers in the draft will more than likely be available in the 4th

I knew someone would do this but you took our only great late rnd picks every team has them. But looking at centers drafted in the few years not many became starters(well there is 32 spots). I know what you are saying but we can draft anyone right now and they would be a starter over Katnik.
