Keller on losing end of a bar fight?

im gonna bring this back up to the top to make sure all of those guys complaining about character issues get a chance to chime in on it.

i know you guys are out there i have listened to you trash prospects for the last 2 months. every day like clock work you have trashed people for being of ill character, but yet i see no comments on our new golden child taken in the end of the 1st round.

 

alleycat, we don't know that Keller was even involved, just that Keglar says Keller was the one fighting and not Keglar, so Keglar tried to stop it.

Granted it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to lie.

 

ummmm, perhaps the 10 ppl talking about it. just a guess.

 

That was only number 10 on his concerns list.....

I was more concerned with his running style.

 

If you want to see how newsworthy this story is, this thread is the number 1 search result on google for dustin keller bar fight. Sounds like a nonissue to me.

I have yet to see mention of it except for Kegler's lawyer trying to deflect blame from his client.
Me thinks that there may not be any truth to it.

Maybe a guy inside spilled a beer on Keller and he blew it off but his teammates thought it was disrespectful and threw the guy a beating.

is it just me or if this was a different player would there be 4 more pages of people questioning his character and trashing his name?

 

I don't think anybody knows enough about this guy to question his character yet. There's no big picture to factor it into like you would a familiar player. Just a bunch of highlight reels and scouting reports and comparisons to Dallas Clark. Who knows? He could end up being a total turd.

 

look at the highlight clips of this kid...i hope he can do that in the NFL...if he can and Kellen Clemons QBs he will get the rock alot because Clemons threw to Baker alot and Keller can get open more consistantly than Baker

 

If this came by way of a police report, arrest, team suspension or ESPN, then I think it would have been given some consideration.

As I understand it there were at least two Purdue players arrested as a result of the incident and neither was Keller. This story only got legs (on TGG) as a result of one quote from the lawyer for one of the arrested players.

There are simply no details and Keller was never implicated in anything (to my knowledge).

Am I surprised that a college student got into a bar fight...no.

Also, from what I have read about Keller there is no pattern of behavior issues (like there is with McFadden). Are you aware of any?

(By the way, I was all for the Jets selecting McFadden over Gholston if both were available.)

As I and others stated, there is no mention of this in the news media except for Keglers attorney saying that Keller was fighting. Maybe if this was actually news others might discuss it.
