Yeh I was looking at it the other day....

What I like about this kid is that he is cocky. You can either go the humble route (i.e. jericho) or the cocky route. We need some arrogance on this squad.

Dustin Keller seems very strong-willed, and "cocky" on the field. He wants to be the best...and that's awesome.

I'm gonna go back to this: On his youtube highlight video, Keller catches a pass over the middle, and gets absolutely rocked -- helmet knocked off and everything -- but hangs on to the ball, and gets up screaming. This play alone shows how pumped he is to be playing the game, and how hard he works to catch the ball. He's fearless, and the Jets need someone to control the middle of the field.

There's a difference between cockiness and arrogance. Namath= cocky. Belichick= arrogant.

"He's a fucking warrior!" - At least that's what Kellen Winslow told me...

His intensity and "cockiness" are my favorite traits about him. That's not to take away from his athleticism, but those traits are something this team seems to be lacking and WILL be contagious. Watch the attitude of this entire offense change with him on the field.

Where do you find him coming off as cocky. I was trying to find that. I've heard things saying that he is a character in the locker room. Funny guy who gets everyone laughing, but when it comes to work he is a monster.

    fyi :

    Dustin Keller
    Height: 6-2 | Weight: 242 | 40-Time: 4.55

    Strengths:
Very athletic...Has soft hands...Good ball skills and body control...Adequate timed speed and can stretch the field vertically...Can do some damage after the catch..A solid route runner...Physical and very strong...Great competitor...Hard worker with terrific intangibles...Is versatile and can line up all over the field..Great production.

    Weaknesses:
Average size and bulk...Will drop some balls...Just an average blocker...Isn't stout at the point of attack and doesn't get a great push..Has some trouble beating the jam...Minor injuries make durability a concern...Won't be a good fit for every team.

    Notes:
Actually began his college career as a wide receiver...Late father, Willie Jr., played college basketball at Moorehead State...Grandfather Dale Mulvey played on 1952 Purdue football team that won a Big Ten championship...Mother, grandmother and two brothers all attended Purdue and his great grandfather Robert P. Siskind was a electrical engineering professor there...Potential H-Back...One-dimensional pass catching threat but he could thrive in that role..Projects as a potential NFL starter.
