I would have given Atlanta next year's second. That would give us a whole year to get one back. Not sure if Ryan would have still been there at 6 but he probably would. Of course none of us know what they did try to do and it's my guess we tried like hell to move up and just couldn't do it. I also think we tried like hell to dump our pick at 6 and couldn't do that either.
The pick did take along time which would suggest some kind if a trade was being investigated or waiting for an offer to come in. I'm not a Gholston lover, but hes here now and I hope he proves all us doubters wrong. Good luck to him.
I voted B. McFadden definitely peeked my interest, but I've said for two years that we needed a pass rush so I have no right to complain. The rumors that NE was trying desperately to trade up with KC to get Gholston encourages me about getting the right guy. I would have preferred Lofton or Porter with our second over selecting the receiver so many of you wanted, and Keller seems to be a wildcard pick, hence the B vote and not an A. However, if he's as good as the reports and a real receiving threat, we could be smoking. Day two we still need ILB, CB and maybe o-line help. I'd love to see us move Baker for something today. And, finally we don't need a QB, that talk was just a smokescreen from the word go (when we traded up into 1 I was so freaked that we might reach for Henne, thank God Tangini didn't disappoint).
