David Wright, last 4 games: 0 for 14

Jose Reyes last 4 games: 2 for 18

That's a combined 2 for 32 from the two key guys in our lineup. .062 (5) average

0 extra base hits. 0 RBI. Throw in some errors, and it's quite a stretch.

4/25, 7:10 PM: Jurrjens vs. Pelfrey
4/26, 1:10 PM: Hudson vs. Maine
4/27, 1:10 PM: Smoltz vs. Figueroa

    ugh

I don't really watch the Mets anymore. I think I watched a few innings of the Opening Day game and I saw an inning against Milwaukee and a couple other pitches here and there.

I'd like my ticket money back and the $500 I spent to go down there to watch two hits. I literally paid $150 per hit.

i wonder if mediocrity is enough to get willie and omar shitcanned, because it's looking more and more like that's all this team is capable of.

Willie will be gone this season as the team flounders and Omar tries to save his own job, but bringing him back for however long this season should warrant Omar getting the can too. after the team he has assembled, Omar can't save face with finally firing the manager he arguably should have long ago. his future should be tired directly to Willie's success, and if he goes, so should Omar.

Yeah it's hard to get into it every pitch, every game after what happened last year. Especially when there's been little reason to do so, this season's just been a continuation. Instead of Game 23 of the 2008 season, it's Game 185 of the 2007 season.

I honestly think Willie could go as early as Monday if the Mets get embarassed by the Braves here...but at best it's a matter of weeks, not months.

As far as Omar, he's had his issues. I think he has more of the backing of ownership, plus he's had his good signings and trades too. As someone put it on another board he's like the Ollie Perez of GM's, his moves are either spectacular or 'what the hell are you thinking'.

There is no reason to watch this team once they get down in the mid innings, they have no comeback capability at all.

Really dissapointing season so far with really no hope for improvement either.

Yeah, but he's much more responsible for the construction of this team then Willie is. Willie's a bad manager but I can't really say there's much he's done this season that I take issue with other then some weird/overuse moves in the pen

People forget what a lousy offseason Omar had(his 2nd in a row) because of the Santana trade. Turns out even that doesn't matter. If this team fails it's Omar's failing and he's got to go.
