    Nah..Ainge.

I have no idea why Ainge is so underrated...I guess because the only QBs that matter to people are the guys drafted by their teams and first round picks.

    Size? Check.

    Experience? Check.

Experience within a pro offense? Check.

Experience within a pro offense in the SEC? Check.

    Production? Check.

    Solid NFL tools? Check.

Growth potential in those tools? Check.

    Leadership ability? Check.

I've even started liking Kevin "lil Baby hands" O'Connell.

I will be livid if the Jets trade up OR draft Ryan.

Almost as livid as I was sitting in Wrigley Field yesterday...

If we are going up to two, it is for Chris Long.

    Period.

    Endo Storo...

    It's easy math.

Put our front 7 on a spreadsheet.

    the hole is Eric Barton.

    .............Ellis... Jenkins $$$$$... Coleman $$$$
    Pace$$$....Harris (2ndrd 07) ...Barton..... B.Thomas ($$$$$)

Which guy (given that Hobson wasnt kept) is the hole?

There still not going to get a ilb with a first round pick, unless its a late one. The value simply isnt there, but i think that we would still go after a de/olb cuz Thomas is starting to age and has not impressed and if u get a guy that is a total stud, it dont matter who you have there now. Adrain Peterson anybody.

Is there really anyone that good worth trading up for from the 6th pick?

Magic 8-Ball answer: Signs point to no.

Will Sawyer and Locke stay on the island?

    Magic 8-Ball answer: Yes Definitely

yeah, I really don't get the Matt Ryan thing. He wasn't that great in college. How did he become a franchise-saving QB. I'd rather try for Brohm or Flacco later. Either trade down or stay and pick the best available. Any of the defense guys. I don't love McFadden but he'd be ok.

I really like Ainge. He came out his junior and senior years and really impressed me. I think he should be a solid 2nd or 3rd rounder, I don't understand why most mocks have him in the 6th or later. He's probably the #4 QB in the draft for me behind Ryan, Brohm, and Flacco. I think he's a better prospect than Henne and Woodson, regardless of their respective offseasons.

If we trade up, I give up on this franchise...There is not that much talent at the top of this draft to warrant trading up. The value in this class is in rounds 2-4 IMO...

Question: If they trade up for McFadden, take him, he wins OROY and carries the Jets offensively into the playoffs, will all you folks that are saying "you've given up on the Jets/SOJ/whatever" come crawling back?

McFadden has the potential to be great, especially behind the revamped O-Line. If the FO thinks he can be a dynamic player that can carry the offense, you can do nothing but applaud them for making a move to get their guy.

If they're so hot for somebody in the top 3, next time they're staring down the barrel of 3-13, make sure you don't win the last fucking game of the year.

They don't need to trade up to get Ryan, he'll be there at 6.

if the jets trade up to #2 its for c long not ryan. I hope they dont trade up to #2 but they may not want the patriots to jump up ahead of them and take long if thats who the jets are looking at. And like don said we're not going to take gholston if long is on the bored, thats just silly ;/

The last time we traded up was for Robertson.
Do we really want a recurrence of that? Really?

If we are trading up it better be for McFadden.
    Jones, Washington, Chatman<McFadden.
McFadden can make holes, burst through them, make plays, and make more plays.
McFadden has all the signs of a star and the Jets currently have no star.
They spent too much on defense already.
A #2 or a #6 money will be spent on offense. (Hopefully, NOT Matt Ryan)

If the Jets have a chance to draft McFadden and don't, I am taking a one year sabbatical from New York Jets football.

I agree that McFadden is the only guy I want in this top 10 and if we have to trade up to get him, go do it.

The $$$$ difference is going to be negligible anyway, given the way the cap is going.

you didnt read the previous post.

The scenario is the Jets going up to the 2 spot.

If that is the case, the Player is Chris Long.

    That diagram is telling why.

Thats about as poised as it gets, not many guys can throw under fire like that. Whenever you think a guy can be a franchise QB, You TAKE HIM. End of story.
